AW - Finally my turn :)

Yay!!  I had the a/s yesterday and the tech said everything looked good; although she spent a lot of time taking pics of the heart so I'm half worried...

Baby GIRL was 9oz and I'm over the moon excited that we aren't having the same umbilical cord issue as we did with DS.  I won't be relieved until our followup appt. with the doc to go over the results but for now I'm one happy mama :)

    Congrats to you! It seems to be normal for them to spend time on the heart. They did the same with my son's heart but there is lots to look for in terms of the heart like the chambers and valves etc. What a sweet picture!!

    I really appreciate your reply it made me feel a bit better!!  I asked why she was spending so much time and she said they need a lot of pics of the heart but I also know the tech can't really tell you much.

    Congrats!! They spent forever on the heart at my scan as well, though I have heart problems so I figured it was because of that. My baby was perfectly healthy so don't worry!

    Congrats!! Same thing happened with me. The tech must have looked for 20 minutes and had me turning every which way for a better view. Then the doctor came in afterwards to look at the heart again. It really freaked me out. The doctor then said that she always tells patients that they only get this small window of opportunity, an hour at most, during a whole pregnancy to make sure everything is as it should be so they try to be really thorough. It really made me feel better :)

    congrats and healthy baby girl. our tech told us that there are many anglesof the heart that the radiologists need to see. So they may just needed to get a certain angle little man would move before she could get her shots finally she did. So hope then can alleviate some worry
