Anyone's LO NOT want to be held?

This past week I've noticed that DD can't ever seem to get comfy and fall asleep while being held. She only likes to be held facing out so she can see ALL THE THINGS. And of course for nursing. But otherwise she gets irritated and wiggly. As soon as I put her in the swing or her car seat she settles down and will usually put herself to sleep. In one way, this is really great, but it's also making me feel guilty about keeping her in her swing most of the day. ( I don't really, but it feels that way)

She's 7 1/2 weeks. Anyone else have a baby that's more content when put down and left alone?

    Story of our life.

DS has zero interest in day time sleep. And if I can get him to sleep, he will ONLY for a few minutes, either in the car seat, carrier or at the boob. But its restless sleep. We're in the growth spurt stage though. Poor guy is so exhausted and can see if in his face, but just won't give in.

Give in little buddy, no judgement here.

My little guy doesn't like being held much and gets really upset sometimes then you put him down anywhere and voila he's hsppy! This has been from the beginning basically my midwife said he's a really smart baby and likes being alone and looking around plus his first week of life he was in the nicu therefore he wasn't held so much and is used to being left alone kinda sad I know but it's his way now
