Difficult week anyone?

This week shit got real for me. I had symptoms before but around 7wk exactly everything upped in intensity. Dry heaves in the am (and not so dry)- thank god for zolfram or all my coworkers would know for sure. I can't stay awake. Also I'm losing control of my emotions. Today I snapped at a coworker who said I'd "been out of the loop for a while". He didn't mean it the way it came out but I was instantly defensive with him about my level of involvement at work. What he really meant was "let me bring you up to speed on a new project". I'm so sensitive, emotionally ! Luckily I smoothed over the awkward snappiness.

Anyone else suffering this week?

  • I feel you ladies. Luckily I'm not sick. All my symptoms are very mild except I'm soooo tired. Tired and unmotivated to do anything at all which is so unlike me.
  • Glad I'm not alone. I saw a 37-weeker at the OBGYN yesterday and she asked me how I was feeling. She said her worst symptoms kicked in around 7 wks and lasted 4 weeks. Urgh, 4 weeks of feeling like I'm barely keeping it together would not be fun.

Jaztaz- do you have zolfram? I don't generally like taking medication but it's been a lifesaver. Just one at my worst ms time (early am for me) makes a huge difference

No... I can ask about it. I've been doing well managing the last couple of days, but it catches me off guard sometimes

  • I am so glad I'm not the only one in this boat. I was so sick at work on Monday I had to leave early. I seriously puked 3 times there; not fun. My sister was sick her entire pregnancy so I'm hoping I'm not like her. My doctor told me to try half a unisom with 25mg of b6 and that would help with my sick feeling and the puking but it only works sometimes. I pray that this hurries up so I can enjoy being pregnant and be a cute pregnant lady :)
  • My m/s kicked in at 8 weeks, which is lovely. I'm pretty sure I have a mild form of puppps again (chatting with my SIL and she was so empathetic and then said, "damn! It's like you're allergic to pregnancy!"). And now my H is feeling neglected because I can't even think about sex due to all the nausea. So that's a great topping to my shit sundae.

  • This has by far been the worst week for me so far. Really moody and dock and tired. I work at a preschool and u feel myself being really snippy with the kids but it's hard to stay patient.
  • Yeah, this week hasn't been fun for me either.  I had almost no MS with DD and have been queasy and dizzy all week with a headache that has never gone away.  I'm super moody, exhausted, and have a toddler running around, and on top of that it's finals week.  I need these next 6 weeks to go by quickly.

  • I could've slept all week. Thank goodness my aunt and uncle are keeping DD until next week so I pass out when I want.

  • I have been more tired and emotional this week...especially if I let my blood sugar get to low.
  • Nausea/vomiting I can deal with but I've had a terrible headache the past few days. Finally broke down and had a Tylenol and a phenergan to stop the dry heaves. I felt so guilty but my RE's office was reassuring. Hoping sickness subsides for all of you ladies soon!!!
  • @Maple403‌ thank you for starting this thread. I have been feeling like shit this entire week and I was stressing out that something's wrong with me. I really hope this subsides soon. It's becoming too difficult to deal with these crazy symptoms.
  • Yep, I've been having nausea and therefore a lack of appetite. Plus I've had an on-and-off migraine since yesterday morning, although that's probably due to the fact that I had 2 bowls of cereal, strawberry milk, and a milk smoothiewith regular milk on Wednesday night, and I'm lactose intolerant. I guess I was feeling brave.
  • Right. I'm 6 weeks tmrw and my morning sickness kicked in last Saturday and has been here everyday faithfully. Also I had the worse headache yesterday. I can feel one coming on this Am, and I am no where near ready to put up with people at work today.
  • I'm 8w5d and I just barfed for the first time this morning, but my nausea had been getting worse since a little before 7wks. Luckily I don't have to take meds, saltines crackers are my cure.

same, literally just puked my breakfast, MS all week and super emotional.  Tired all afternoon chasing a toddler.  my mom told me my belly looks swollen and I snapped.
  • I'm 6wk-6days today and I have been nauseous all week! Its the worst feeling ever!! Everytime I get nauseous which is almost every 2 hrs, I just eat or drink something - its kept me going so far! OB said try not throw up..it'll make you feel worse!

  • I've had horrible gas pains the last week. I'm so bloated I look 5 months pregnant. I'm starting to get the nauseous feelings but not throwing up, which I almost would rather because just the feeling of being nauseous is miserable.

  • Wow I feel like I'm not alone. I haven't had dinner the last 3 days. The nauseous has taken over. Not to mention I don't feel like doing anything. The thought of eating is disgusting right about now. I have stuck to cold fruits and almond milk. Thankful that I haven't puked yet.
  • I feel the same way! I think the funny thing is when I found out I was pregnant I felt great and I was thinking maybe I'll get lucky and not feel sick... HAHA! I am 6 weeks today and the last three days I have spent three hours in the morning hovered over my toilet and the rest of the day I am just trying to avoid the nausea, which is impossible! I dry heaved for the first time today and I have cried a lot. It's crazy how a baby the size of a sweet pea can make your body hate you
  • I'm 8 weeks and 5 days and so sorry to hear about the dry heaves! Sounds terrible! I've been lucky enough to just have the nausea without vomiting (had a few close calls admittedly).Though it is brutal finding something I can stomach, despite feeling ravenous! Hopefully this won't last for the rest of the pregnancy for you :)
  • My ticker his 7 wks and by body said "welcome to the 8th week sucker". Still no actual vomiting but dry heaves because I looked at food or even thought of it is tough.
Love is like infinity: You can't have more or less infinity, and you can't compare two things to see if they're "equally infinite." Infinity just is, and that's the way I think love is, too.

  • I'm 6w 4d, and I'm exhausted today, like I could lay my head on my desk and go to sleep. Thankfully I haven't been to nauseous... yet... but I haven't had much of an appetite today, but yesterday I was famished the entire day! The fatigue is going to be the death of me.
  • 7w6d today. This week has been ridiculous. Unending nausea, dry heaving all over the place. I just know I have rock hard abs under my marshmallow flab, for how much those muscles hurt. So exhausted, and with a toddler to run after, it's exhaustion x 20. The thought of food is disgusting. So ready for the second tri, where food is awesome!
