My green moment for the month was that I finally made a Spray Pal this afternoon. When I earlier accidentally sprayed poo all over the bathroom wall, the project immediately moved to the top of the list.
@CLLDLL - Have you bought beef by the side before? If not, just FYI it can take up a lot of freezer room, especially if the farmer picks a big cow. We ordered 1/8 of a side last year, and it took up about 1/4 of our rather small chest freezer. This year they slaughtered a 900+ pound steer, so that 1/8 side takes up more than half of the same freezer. Our farmer did give people the option to buy less than they had originally committed to since it was so much meat, meaning more freezer space and more expensive in total.
Thanks for the FYI @unaveragejane I have not purchased beef by the side before, I'm just starting to do my research. I do have a fairly large deep freeze & it literally has nothing in it but some popsicles in it right now. So I do have the room.
I don't think ours was certified organic, maybe that makes a difference? I know most of them are fairly organic in how they raise them, but don't jump through all the hoops. My step grandpa gives them a couple shots when they are branded and then they are grass fed. I'm not sure what makes things organic...
Holy Moley, SAK! I might have to think about relocating! You can't even get a garden style condo for that price around here.
That's right. Everyone come live with me! Although keep in mind that I'm over 1.5hrs to a Starbucks or Target and most everything else closes by 6pm and isn't open Sundays....
I'm five minutes away from a Target with a Starbucks *in* it, lol. It's not all it's cracked up to be
My camp style washer is complete! Yay! I can't wait to wash diapers in it. If I love it as much as I want to, maybe I will use it for washes at home. I already plan on using it to rinse my ON diapers.
Re: Going Green Check in?
