I'm leaving tonight on a cross country camping road trip with DH and our 2 boys (3 years and 22 months). We are going to be gone for 12 days!

Here's to hoping that my tailbone doesn't crack in half from all the time sitting in the car and that I don't get eaten by a bear when I have to pee outside of my tent in the middle of the night

Have fun! I wish I could go camping. With us moving, we don't have time to go camping this summer.

@mander82 we are sleeping in a tent (although we have an air mattress...i do NOT sleep on the ground!). The entire trip is unplanned which stresses me out a bit but we thought overall it would be less stressful to go at our own pace and not have to worry about making it to a certain place at a certain time.

We camped out one night so far this summer in our tent, it was still way too cold to be in a tent, we froze our asses off. I wasn't as uncomfortable on the ground as I thought I was going to. Glad to hear you have an air mattress though, that should help immensely !
