First Ultrasound

Yesterday I had my first ultrasound. We got to see our little baby and heartbeat. However, I'm only measuring 6 weeks 4 days when I thought I was 8 weeks 2 days. I was not charting so I don't know when I ovulated and so it's really possible my cycle was wacky (I had only been off birth control one month before conceiving). But what's concerning me a little is that I turned a pregnancy test only at 3 weeks, is that possible? My midwife scheduled me to come back in two weeks for another ultrasound to check the growth.

You could have ovulated later than you thought, that's pretty normal. You might be measuring later than you thought now, but baby may catch up later in the pregnancy.

same, here, first u/s yesterday and measuring 7wk 1day and thought I was 8wk1day.  going back to remeasure in a week

My first BFP was at 11 dpo, which would be 3 weeks, 4 days according to the calculator. I've heard of BFPs as early at 7po, although super rare, which would be about three weeks on the button. It would mean you implanted on the early side.

Thanks everyone! I know my midwife wasn't really worried but it still just made me wonder. I talked to my mom about it and she said she turned tests with my younger brother right at 3 weeks too. Just keeping my FX that this little one keeps growing!

I'm in the same boat you are (sort of) first OB at 8w1d & baby is measuring 7w1d, although I keep pretty detailed track of my cycle, positive ovulation test, & sexual activity. Fetal hbpm @ 144 & good size for 7w1d. My next appointment is on Tuesday so I'm hoping for growth. From what I hear this is very normal, although it doesn't help with easing the worry factor. Keeping my fingers crossed & sending positive thoughts your way.
