Trying to Get Pregnant

Fertilitea Question

Anyone here drink fertilitea?  I am know  it is an UO on the board to take it but a couple friends had success with it regulating their irregular periods.  I did my research before and am comfortable with my decision to try it out. I O'ed on CD 29 last cycle and just got a +opk today on CD15 so I am optimistic about it!

To my question- you drink it, should I stop at O or drink until AF/a +HPT?  My one friend said she drank it until she was pregnant but I was reading mixed things online.

Thanks so much!

  • So you ovulated a little late one cycle and decided "hey, it's totally worth the risk of fucking things up to assume this wasn't just a weird cycle!" even knowing why we're all against it?

You must have graduated top of your class.
Son: Jackson, 11/02/06, stillborn due to PPROM and IUGR. Over the next ten years we had 9 miscarriages from 8-14 weeks. On May 18, 2016 my daughter, Ridley, was born. We're OADNBC.

Not sure if the others are on there but since I had my son and got my cycle back, it's been super irregular (35-45 days, 10-15 day LP's) so it wasn't just 1 cycle.

Thanks for the friendly advice though. :)

  • The popular consensus on this board is not self-medicating. It just isn't worth risking your fertility permanently. Your chart looks a bit rocky. If you are temping orally, I think you could benefit from switching to vaginally.

I was thinking if doing that next cycle. I think the rocky temps have more to do with my temping time. I have a teething 1 year old so I temp anywhere between 3am and 6am. The higher temps are pretty much all from my later temping times.

    ...That's not super irregular...
    Not even kind of.

  • Okay, so since having your son, you've only charted one full cycle?

This was the first cycle I did every single day temping. I previously use opks and wpuld occasionally temp to confirm where I was in my cycle. I tracked it on a different ff account since this one had VIP and I didn't want to waste it!

We aren't in "omg I must get pregnant now" mode so I am fine with trying it out for a cycle or 2. Like I said, I did research and am comfortable with my decision even if its not the popular one on an internet message board I frequent.

It takes several months for the Vitex to have any effect. So you magically ovulating sooner is almost certainly NOT related to you self medicating. And using OPKs and occasionally taking your temp mean absolutely nothing. You're not irregular and are almost certainly doing more harm than good by using Vitex (in any form).
