TTC After a Loss

feeling frustrated

It's day 18 and I have already started spotting!  It's the earliest yet.  I've had a short LP since December '13.  Midwife started me on progesterone cream last month.  I did make it to day 26 last month but that was after spotting like 8 days or something like that.  I have such a hard time EVERY month when I find out I didn't get pregnant again.  I know it's all in God's timing but it's still depressing.

  • So sorry you are having a bad day. ((Hugs))

May I suggest going easy on the "God's timing" comments? That tends to be one of those hurtful comments that we avoid here in our safe zone.

Also, can I suggest this goes in the TP/CT and isn't a thread of it's own ;) Sorry for the crap cycle this round! FX for next month.

    this again?

    SMH. Seriously?

  • That sucks! Are you seeing anyone other than a midwife?

*As a side note, I think we have to be more sensitive and truly make this a safe place for everyone. I agree that we shouldn't be posting relious sentiments on peoples posts who might not have the same beliefs; but I think its unfair to be criticizing someone's religious beliefs in their own posts. If you don't like it, ignore it or don't post. We have a dedicated bible study thread so we clearly have people who are believers in this group. This women is reaching out in frustration just like the rest of us. Who cares why she thinks its happening, just support her. ((Hugs))

  • I know I am new but I have to agree with @newfmom7.  IF she said it to someone one the board, then we can say something, but she said it about herself.  We can't criticize her for believing that it is God's plan for her.

    Yeah, no.

It's ironic really. She's coming here looking for support about being frustrated and potentially offends the ladies who she's seeking that support from. It doesn't work that way. Bible study is a safe place for ladies who want to discuss their faith. The rest of the board functions with different rules.

@newfmom7‌ I don't see any criticizing being done. No one said anything against her beliefs, she was just asked to be mindful just like those who have living children. But if you have read the blog, that type of wording is asked to not be used. You are very right there is a bible study group and that is a nice and appropriate place to voice those beliefs.

Edit: FYI no one had a choice to avoid the term. It was at the end of her post.

  • Wow!!  I sure didn't mean to offend anyone and apologize to all who I did offend.  It was not my intention at all.  My midwife wanted me to get on here for support.  I am pretty new at using the board.  I did read "rules" of what to post/not post.  I saw: "c) to use language insinuating that losses are God's Will that women who have gone onto a BFP have been especially judged by God as to have been worthy. "    However, I did not see where I wasn't supposed to mention God's will about my own life in there.  Again, I do apologize for offending those of you that I did.

I did come here looking for support.  It doesn't seem like this is a place for me to find it though.

@newfmom7   Yes, I am only seeing a midwife.  I did see my gyno some time ago and she offered putting me on something but I wasn't ready for that.

  • I'm sorry for your loss and that you are frustrated in your TTC journey. I hope things straighten up for you. This is a wonderful place to find support and I hope you stick around.  If you do, just take the advice from the PP and avoid discussing your faith on the main board. Welcome.

    @bogey75‌

Please don't leave. There is wonderful support on this board.....and I believe that you will find the support you need here. I'm so sorry for your loss and having a shortened LP, that has to be so frustrating. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you and that your MW can help you figure out a way to make this a little easier for you.

  • I'm sorry about your cycle. That is so frustrating! I would agree that seeing a doctor might be beneficial. Maybe you could ask about Femara/Clomid to regulate your cycle from the beginning? I'm no doctor but I would think it might be an option.

As for the board, this is great place to be. It just takes some time to get to know how things work so spend some time lurking and giving support and you will love it here.

Clomid is not used to regulate cycles.

Please don't give advice if you don't know what you are talking about.

You are right, I shouldn't be giving medical advice. I just have many friends that were in the same position and that is what their doctor prescribed: Femara to produce a bigger corpus luteum which produces progesterone. So I will say it again: I am not a doctor and it would probably be beneficial to talk to one. I appreciated the advice I got from my friends and from this board so that I could cover all the bases when I met with my doctor.

You're talking about 2 very different things now.

You said to "regulate" your cycle.

Clomid can be dangerous if it's taken unmonitored. Please keep in mind that many many people find these board when lurking. The last thing we want is something googling "regulating cycles & clomid", finding this post and then taking it to heart and pursuing it.

I get what you're saying, thanks. Regulating was the wrong word. Sorry, OP! Go talk to your doc.
