Concert question? Floor seats?

From what I've read on tumblr people with floor seats line up before the show and then it's just like first come first served, and you can get really close if you go early. Is that true?

    I think it depends on the venue.  From what I've seen, it looks like most of the European shows are general admission for the field, but I think most of the US shows have assigned rows/seats for the field.

    General Admission for a 1D concert sounds like a nightmare to me.
