DH and I saw The Police several years ago, and that was probably the best concert I've been to. Foo Fighters opened for them (DH's fave band) and the Police played all their old hits.. It was pretty awesome. I also saw Elton John once & he was pretty good too.
I am dying to go see Zac Brown Band or Bruno Mars. I'm not much of a concertgoer, but I would go for either of these two!
DH is a concert fiend, and one time we went to see U2 in Nashville. U2 is a very regimented band, and rarely stray from its set list.
At the end of the show, all the band members except Bono had exited the stage and Bono was saying good night, when he pulled a guy up out of the audience. The guy had a sign that he wanted to sing a song for his wife. The guy was stumbling around a bit, and I thought he must have been a little drunk.
Bono asked him what he wanted to sing, and the guy said "All I Want Is You" (one of my fave songs). Bono gave him his guitar, and the guy started playing. Bono started singing, and all of the rest of the band members came back from the dressing rooms to finish out the song ... all for this guy could serenade his wife. :x Bono gave the guy his guitar to keep when it was all over.
Oh, and it turns out, the guy wasn't drunk ... he's blind. (
This article does a better job of describing it. One of the most amazing things I've seen on stage!
Ohhh this is tough...I'd have to say Third Eye Blind. H and I saw them at a small venue and were literally right in front of the stage. Stephan (lead singer) actually poured water out of his water bottle into our mouths because it was so flippin' hot in there, it was awesome! (Well not the heat part, the girl standing next to me actually passed out and had to be taken out LOL)
I've seen a lot: Halestorm, Green Day, Evanescence, Disturbed, Hinder, Buck Cherry, Matchbox 20 (twice!), and a bunch of others. Last night I saw Fall Out Boy and Paramore which was a lot of fun!
Not much of a concert goer either. My all time favorite though was seeing Roger Waters doing The Wall. Best show I have ever seen. Universal Orlando doors a lot of good concerts during the spring. I have seen Heart, Kidd Rock, Cyndi Lauper, Bret Michaels. We also have seen Poison, Def Leopard, and Journey
ETA- I want to see Katy Perry. She is in Tampa on Monday but I can't go and it's sold out
@TrueBeliever925 yep at SPAC! I love SPAC... though it was like a crop top and camel toe festival last night with the way the girls are dressing now. I'm only 26 but man I feel so out of the loop with what's considered fashionable nowadays!
So many good ones. Probably my favourite was Korn, it was a small venue which ups the experience for sure. I also loved Bon Jovi, System of a Down and Nickelback too.
Anberlin was a great concert, they actually sounded better live than on their record! I do have to say NKOTB was amazeballs too.
Our boss is taking us to Rascal Flatts next month which should be really fun!
@nnikki10 I have a ridiculous crush on Davey Havok from AFI, even if he is super gay. AFI is amazing.
Rascal Flatts would be cool to see! When I lived in Colorado we would always hit up Cheyenne Frontier Days to see all the country bands. Do you ever go?
I have a really hard time determining this so I have three.
1. The Bouncing Souls at Avalon in Boston circa 2005. So good. I actually saw DH there before we started dating.
2. Dropkick Murphys at Avalon in Boston circa 2003. Got on stage for the Spicy McHaggis Jig.
3. Richard Thompson at the Latchis Theater in Brattleboro, Vermont in 2008 or 09. It was just him, acoustic, and it was amazing.
WOOT! There's a good chance my husband was at that one! We see DKM every year for St. Patty's...but try to get to more of their shows, I think I've been to 10-12???
I've see quite the mixed bag of shows. I love Jimmy Buffett concerts, even saw The Cure and The Spice Girls, Billy Joel, Madonna, Rhianna, DMB, Snoop Dogg (LOL), 3rd Eye Blind, G Love, Seether, NKOTB, Lady Gaga (before she got super famous), Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera...
We got free tickets to Nickelback one year, so went...and was surprised how great they were live (drummer was awesome). Jack Johnson = snooze fest!
But seriously, the most fantastic show I've ever seen is a HUGE shock...PHIL COLLINS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've never seen anyone have such fun on stage and have energy for so many hours without stopping!
EDIT: ummmm, so yeah, I completely forgot one of my all-time faves that I've seen a couple times - Barenaked Ladies!! They put on a great live show! I need to see them again soon. Need.
NIN was my first and is still my fave but I get to see Volbeat in sept so well see if they keep the spot
