How many bathing suits does your kid have?

DD had two swimsuits at the start of the season -- one was kind of crappy looking and I could tell it wasn't going to fit well -- too low on the chest. The other was a two-piece Minnie Mouse suit that will probably be a little big.

So I bought DD this impractical yet adorable swimsuit:

But now I see this one, on sale for $10, and it's her colors! Blue and orange are my favorite combo on her:

She totally needs another suit, right? :-D

Yes she does, especially for only $10. The boys each got a new suit this year, but keagan can still squeeze into his suit from last year, and Colby has keagans hand me down suit.

2. We just replaced a 2T suit because her chest was hanging out. She still has 2. For us, it is a watse to have more than that. For other people that spend more time at the pool/beach/backyard - buy all the suits!

2- a rash guard and a regular suit.  I tried to put the regular suit on her the other day and she was adamant that she wanted the damp rash guard instead, crazy kid.

I'd totally get the under 10 buck suit if I were you though!

We have 4. But one I really don't like because the top is too low. I'm sure we will add more throughout the summer.

Thank you, ladies, for justifying this purchase. The Gymboree website just went down though! I hope that's not a sign to put away my credit card.

One. I haven't even tried it on her yet so I hope it fits. We're going to a family get together at a lake in July so she won't need one until then.

I do need to get a kiddie pool and/or water table for the backyard.

B has 2 trunk/rash guard sets. I bought them last year on clearance. He's in a 3T. The rash guards themselves look a tad big but that's ok. And yes she needs to the suit. Especially for $10! It's adorable!

9. Ahhh! Three still have tags and she hasn't worn a single one yet. I haven't bought a single one. DH came home with 2 more last week. He figured she didn't have one. Those definitely were returned.

We have three, one regular one-piece suit (navy and white stripe, big pink flower), and two short sleeve rash guard ones which are almost identical - one is teal polka dot, one is hot pink polka dot...

That suit is so cute!

She has 2 that suck.  One fit her great but I can't find the bottoms.   The other one we have both pieces but the bottoms are way too big.  They are both rash guards with bikini bottoms.  I really need to get her a normal one piece.   I've been putting her outside in a swim diaper with just the rash gaurd top.  Mom fail.

Dex has 3 pair of trunks and Summer has 5 bathing suits of various styles.  My 6 year old has 4 swim trunks and my 5 year old has 4 pair of trunks.  They add up over the years.

Leo has 6, a bit of an over kill but I wasn't counting on him wearing the 12-18mo bottom that he wore last year but it still fits.

James has 3 bottoms and 5 tops. I plan to get him another bottom because one is a 2T from last summer and they are looking too short now.

Luci has 2.  One at daycare and one at home.  Since DH can't go swimming none of us are apparently going to swim much this summer.  So, I don't think she needs more.  If we were going to swim as much as we did last summer I would definitely get another!

I hope you have purchased that suit from Gymboree!

I think Ethan has three and Maya has five.  She has two leftover from last year that are still in rotation, so she ended up with more than Ethan.

We go thru 2-3 a day... She has more bottoms than tops because the tops seem to dry faster. My guess is that she has 6-7 bottoms and 3 tops that currently fit. She also has a one piece for indoor pools.

4 here - she does "water play" at daycare on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so we have a rashguard set and a one piece, each with built in swim diapers just for them. Then I have a suit that DH's mom bought her for Florida, and a $10 Gap suit I bought as a total impulse the other day. Oops.

Just one, but we live in a Washington and the days that are warm enough to go in the pool or lake are few and far between. If we lived somewhere warmer I'm sure she would have far more, they are just to cute to pass up!

But I live in a place that swimsuits can be worn almost all year long. And I also love buying tiny swimsuits.

Will has 4 bottoms (plus a diaper cover for swim lessons) and 3 rash guards. A few new and a few hand-me-downs. Jack has 3 sets and one is from last season. I've noticed with swimming suits, at least with boys, they usually last 2 seasons.

ERy has two. One was a present for Christmas. The rash guard was too short, but I had grabbed one on Target clearance last year, so he wears the shorts with that. His other one was end-of-the-season from gymboree last year. They only had 18m shorts but a 2T top, so I grabbed it and what do you know- it fits perfectly. 

The hard part is that he is supposed to wear a swim suit every day to school because they do water play first thing in the morning, so he rotates the two and I just assume they aren't dirty if it's not laundry day.
