Hot Flashes

Hi Feb Mom.. for some reason I have been suffering from hot flashes, one minute i'm freezing, and one minute I am hot and waving my hand in my face to make me feel cool.. are any of you ladies experiencing this?

I am experiencing this as well. I think its normal. I live in AZ and even though it is 107 degrees outside, I am always freezing. The a minute or so later, I'll be burning up.  My OB said that it is normal and the important thing is to not overheat myself because I may be cold, but my body temperature is normal. So, I have been wearing light dresses and skirts, but I take a throw blanket with me for when I am inside anywhere and I get cold. That way I can just throw it off if I get hot.

@Erze well that is good to know, I live in Florida and its been in the 90s and I am always freezing. at work I am freezing and then next min I am burning up...hate it... I need to start carrying a throw blanket around as well....

@SweetKari28 - Yeah, you have to be careful about the weather there too, huh? My boyfriend is originally from Florida and I've heard about the humidity and the heat in the summer being brutal! Take care of yourself, lady. We got the throw blanket I've been carrying around in my purse for $3.00 at a CVS. Also, I keep a huge bottle of cold water with me when I start to get hot as well. I'm typically more cold than anything. Good luck!

@Erze yes it is very brutal....thanks, glad to know I am not the only one.  I will check out CVS.  and you take care of yourself as well...=)

This is me too OP! I go from freezing to sweating in the blink of an eye. It's annoying.

I have been too. They haven't been as bad the past couple days as they were the last few weeks. I don't remember having them with DS.

Exactly how it is for me too @dreemkin84.  and I also don't remember this happening with DD, but then again that was about 10years ago, so not sure @maryxc1.... but it does suck!

Definitely! DF thinks I'm crazy, I keep a blanket near on the couch but I'm constantly fidgeting in and out of it. At night I almost feel feverish and he's always complaining about how hot I am to the touch and several times during the day. I feel like I'm overheating!

Me too! I also get all clammy and icky. Damn hormones

Lots of hot flashes. Had them with all of my pregnancies. I hate waking up at night (because I have to pee) drenched in sweat. Then, when I lay back down, the sheets are still wet from my sweat. So gross. (That might've been TMI. Lol)

I am having hot flashes without the cooling off part! its been really humid in.chicago the past sevaral days and i have felt very hot and uncomfortable! For at least 3 nights in a row ive slept nude with the air conditioner on freezing my poor hubby out but good lawd i needed that cool air!

@PeaceofKia DF is the same way always telling me I feel hot.  I think overheating is the correct term it crazy how one min were freezing and next I do feel like I am overheating... but it really nice to know I am not the only one going through this.

@CharlieFox30 me too and I am always twisting and turning because I am so hot and I have a small fan blowing right in my face. lol

I am suffering from hot flashes also, church is were it mostly hits me but I am starting to suffer from then more and more especially at night, I will be cool one moment and hot the next, making sleeping really hard. But I would suffer any symptoms just to have a healthy pregnancy.

I had them bad week 5. Dh would get so mad because id crank the AC up and huddle in the corner by it til i cooled down.
