I made some using this tutorial and they have been great. I think I made a dozen for around $30 and I still have lots of PUL left over. They don't totally contain big accidents but they greatly reduce the mess that needs to be cleaned up. They've also held up well.
Thanks for the input @ComeMai. A has been waking up dry most every day, but a few times has had little bits of pee in her diaper, so I think I'll make some as her ON undies instead of using a diaper.

This is awesome! I have some hemp fleece remnants lying around that I've been thinking about using to make inserts, but this makes so much more sense for us right now ....
