Am I going to live a life of CD regret?

I am wondering if I need to keep the inserts closely paired with the pockets they came with? I bought a bunch of odds and ends pocket diapers to try. I decided to pile all the inserts together to wash them. Then I realized I am not going to be able to tell which insert goes with which brand. Should I have labeled them?

naw you'll figure it out.  I have a bunch of different things and I am able to make sense of everything when it comes out of the wash.

I don't use any of my original inserts anymore.

You don't have to use the "correct" insert. I have diapers that have never seen the matching insert since the first use.

I don't have any pockets, but I just know the mismatching thing would make me stabby. I'm totally OCD about my stash.

I don't use the original inserts, but I have them all sorted because I want them for resale.

IMO, if they are different enough to matter, then they are different enough to easily identify. Otherwise I don't care and use whatever.

We stuff our pocket diapers with flats. Most of the stash and inserts are BG.  The odd inserts either have factory labels saying what they are, or no labels (Kawaii).

The exception is our Thirsties, we use the hemp & microfiber that came with those.  

We're hanging on to the BG MF inserts because we'll eventually sell or donate the diapers.  I also like to use a BG newborn insert in the AIOs that we have.

I don't think you need to worry about matching up diapers with the correct insert, unless a diaper has a narrow crotch and needs the narrower insert.
