I was told whenever was fine but I always took mine at night. I have a history of meds making me sick and it helped taking it with dinner. I woke up a few times with nausea but it was better than going through the day with it. Its all a personal preference hopefully you find what works for you!!
I took it at night because of what I have read here and because that is what my RE wanted me to do. I still had hot flashes and headaches, but I think my HCG booster gave me more of a problem than the clomid did.
Me: 30, PCOS-non IR, Annovulatory; DH: 31, SA normal
Testing Completed! HSG Clear, Ovarian Reserve score 17, Elevated Testosterone, everything else normal so far
I was told to take it in the morning. I was only on 50 mg, though. I had hot flashes but nothing much beyond that. Trigger affected me much more like with PP.
Missed M/C natural cycle 10/2013
DX PCOS 3/2014
2 cycles Clomid 50 mg + Ovidrel + TI
1 cycle Clomid 50 mg + TI - no response stair-stepped to Clomid 75 mg + Ovidrel + TI
My RE actually never told me when to take it but I read online that some people were successful missing the side affects while sleeping through them. I don't think I had any side affects except for one night of semi bad night sweats...which I was very thankful for!! I was on 50 mg for CD 3-7.
I have been on it for the last 3 cycles (50mg) and I always popped it either before work at like noon or about halfway through work. I would have the nausea but I would rather have it during the day when I was keeping busy I thought less of it. I had hot flashes all times of the day, and bad night sweats/nightmares so it didnt seem to matter when I took them. I was just horrible for the week I took it. EVERY SINGLE CYCLE lol.
