Re: INTROS FOR EVERYONE!!!
Hello all! My spouse is @doodah1013 and we are currently pregnant with our 1st little one. You can read my signature for our journey but we definitely had a road that was longer and trickier than we expected. Our journey included 10 IUIs, 2 BFPs, 1 MC, and now we are 15w and so far things are healthy.
We are a queer couple. @doodah1013 is carrying our first and I am inducing lactation in order to hopefully exclusively BF our baby. I am currently 2 months into the protocol.
I am the moderator of this board and love getting to know all the new and regular bumpers!

I am probably one of the people who has been around this board the longest. I started posting in July 2011 when we started TTC. My wife S and I have been married since 2007 and live in the Boston area. She was never interested in being pregnant (though she's thrilled to be a parent), so I am the baby-carrier in the relationship.
Unfortunately, this role did not come as easily to me as we had hoped. After 9 negative IUIs, I finally got pregnant on my first IVF cycle, but miscarried. We then transferred a frozen embryo from the same IVF cycle and I miscarried again. Our second frozen embryo transfer resulted in my first healthy pregnancy. I am now 37 weeks with a boy we could be meeting any day now.
9 IUIs = 9 BFNs
IVF October 2012: 22 eggs retrieved, 17 fertilized, 5 frozen
ET #1: 1 blast = BFP; Blighted ovum discovered at 7w5d; D&E
FET #1: 1 blast = BFP; Missed m/c discovered at 9w5d; D&E
Karyotyping: normal ~ RPL Testing: normal ~ Hysteroscopy: normal
FET #2: 1 blast transferred 10/25; BFP 10/31!
EDD 7/13/14 ~ Induced at 37w4d due to pre-eclampsia ~ Born on 6/28/14
*Everyone welcome*
All the nitty gritty stuff is in my siggy, which seems to only be getting longer and longer.
In short, my wife (C) and I have attempted 8 IUI cycles since July 2013, which have only resulted in 5 actual IUIs. I have had one BFP which ended in a chemical pregnancy. I had surgery in November 2013 to fix a uterine septum and remove endometriosis. We are hoping that IVF will do the trick for us and give us at least one healthy take home baby. At this point, my ER and ET should be in the middle of July.
C has no interest in carrying, so it's all on me to bring a LO into the world.

We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm. 8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy. We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET. I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013.
11/14/14 - Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good.
12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2
12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)
1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2

We started TTC in September of 2013 and I was lucky enough to get pregnant on our second un-medicated IUI. We found out on February 12, 2014 we were having a baby girl! Then on February 20th I gave birth to our daughter Brynlee Madeline at 19w due to PPROM.
We took 4 months (3 cycles) off and had an IUI on 6/10/14 and I tested on 6/21/14 and am currently pregnant and hoping for good beta numbers and that this little one will stay in there as long as possible.

Our TTC journey began in December of 2008; after 5 failed at home IVI's and 1 IUI with frozen sperm we took a break to save money and our sanity. IUI #7 was performed in our home in March of 2011 by a midwife using frozen donor sperm. This attempt resulted in a BFP, but we lost the pregnancy at 13 weeks.
Two more IUI's (at home/frozen sperm) and two more BFN's in the Fall of 2011 left us looking for a different solution.
We were successful on the first try with our KD and Kaden was born 9lbs 5oz via a home water birth on Friday, July 13th 2012. We started our TTC journey again in August of 2013, we received a BFP later that month and Owen was born via a home birth on Friday, May 2nd 2014, he was 9lbs 3oz.
We talk on and off about baby #3 (this is more me talking and EV having a heart attack). This probably won't happen but we'll see how we feel in a year. ;-)
I'm currently a SAHM preparing to go back to work and EV works for a software company.
Hello Everyone...
I'm C and am happily married to the love of my life @firstcomeslove2013 . I identify as gender queer and generally prefer the pronoun "he" (not because I feel like I am male, but because if I use "she" then people assume I am female gendered, which is not the case)... Anyways... it is all very complicated and fun!
As fate with have it (or however you want to sum it up) after a long road of TTC with my wife, we decided that for financial, emotional and tactical reasons (ex. I would get no paid leave if A was to carry our first baby, and the baby would not have access to my health insurance (which is another story entirely))... I would attempt to be the first to carry. I had never thought about carrying kids before, but thought at the very least it would be a very interesting and enriching. After 5 tries (for me), and 1 early miscarriage we are 15w3d with our first little one. We are due in December.... which is symbolic and special to us for many reasons.
We love our little bump group and have loved watching so many people's stories unfold. It has been a real blessing in times of sadness, and brought a lot of joy to us in times of excitement!
Baby Hayden Frances born 12/20/14 at 11:11 a.m... Our perfect little miracle. Here's how we got here:

Hi All!
I'm one of the old-timers. I feel like I've been here forever.
I'm J and my wife is S. We've been together for 10+ years, married legally in 2010. We live in MN and our son G will be 15 months old this week! S never had any desire to carry, and I have always wanted to have that experience so that choice was easy. We did two in-office, but unmedicated/unmonitored IUIs, with a family practice clinic in 2011. I then went through a surgery to remove uterine fibroids, and moved to that RE's office for 2 more unmonitored and mostly unmedicated IUIs once my uterus had recovered. We finally figured out that I had low progesterone, so that 4th IUI we added prometruim and I got a BFP.
I work in healthcare administration, and S works in collegiate athletics. We have a naughty dog, Duncan, and an awesome dog-cat, Nigel. Oh, and we're "Old" (I'm 40, and she's 43). So any thoughts about baby #2 will need to be resolved pretty quickly here.
Great to re/meet everyone!

Ultrasound at 6w4d shows a single, fluttering heartbeat. Say hello to Sticky Ricki!
I'm A. DP is L. We've been together for 14y and have fraternal twin boys who are 8y and about to enter 3rd grade. Our TTC process seems like forever ago, but it took 9 IUIs over 19m to get pregnant with our kids. We have no plans for any more kids!
I am a social worker and DP is a gov't contractor. We live outside of DC.
We got pregnant on our third ICI try at home. We used a donor from a bank who is WTBK. I carried the first baby, because I'm older, my wife will carry the second. After seeing my pregnancy and recovery so far she didn't really want to anymore but we'll see.
We got married in California in 2010, it wasn't legal though. Then we got legally married in Utah when the judge ruled that the ban was unconstitutional. We are still waiting to find out if the state has to recognize our marriage or not.
After a very long road of TTC; 12 iui's, and 3 ivf cycles we finally found the combination that worked, reciprocal ivf. We used my eggs and she carried. Our baby boy R was born in Feb.
I induced lactation and it's the best decision I made this pregnancy! I love my time nursing him.
We have 6 frozen "siblings" and since getting #1 took so long, we're trying for #2 this fall with me carrying. Two kids under two? Yup we're probably nuts!! But very excited to be done making our family:)
I'll try to be better about posting too;)
We began TTC in March 2012. I became pregnant after our third IUI but lost our first son at 13 weeks due to a Trisomy 18 diagnosis in August 2012. We began TTC again in January 2013 and were successful after the second round. Our beautiful son was born in
November 2013.
Our dog, Bama, is frequently mentioned and pictured in my posts (her pic is my profile pic). She's named after Alabama where I went to undergrad and grad school. We also have two kitties, Lucy and Sophie. So, two mommas, one baby, a 75lb lab, and two cats in our 1000 sq ft condo. It's a madhouse and I love it.
Z and I try to stay active and enjoy the beautiful city we live in. I used to be an avid runner, but have been running rather sporadically ever since our son was born. Hoping to find a routine soon.
I started lurking here when I was pregnant the first time, but stayed away after our loss. Came back after I was pregnant with our son. In retrospect, I think this community could have provided me a lot of support in the time surrounding our loss if I had been active then.
Our TTC route started when I panicked at my 41st birthday. I met with an RE in June of 2012 and after an HSG showed my tubes were trashed, we removed them - further, I had no eggs and J is 2 years older than me, so no eggs in her basket either. We immediately went to donor egg/donor sperm. In December 2012 I got pregnant with a fresh transfer of our double donor baby - I almost didn't feel I could claim 'infertility' because it worked on the first try. Sadly, we had a 16w loss out of nowhere due to a blood clot in the umbilical cord (random, 1 in 1000...) and after a D&E, a procedure to remove scar tissue from the D&E, we tried again in July 2013 (c/p); Sept 2013 (BFN) and in December 2013 (our 'last chance' embryo) when we got our BFP! Our baby girl Simone is due August 20, 2014 and we're thrilled. She has an extra X chromosome, which while a bummer, isn't the end of the world in terms of extra chromosomes - we've done our homework and are prepared! 90% of people with this never know and are never diagnosed. We're glad we know, but aren't acting as if this is her only trait in the world.
I joined the bump during my TTC time, and found amazing support here after our loss, and as we went through our embryos and I lost more and more hope as we dwindled down to our last one. I'm super grateful for this community!!

As of now (June 27, 2014), I am still breast feeding only upon demand with my son. We co-sleep, home-school, and do attachment parenting (but I don't participate on the attachment parenting board).
I don't always participate, but will join in conversations when I feel inspired or when I have questions myself.
