Tell me about your FET calendars *Update*

I'm 6dp6dt and getting negative HPTs, so I'm pretty sure this is going to be a failed cycle. I have blasts on ice, and I'm hoping they'll let me move straight into a FET. (And contemplating asking to transfer two, as this single transfer thing didn't work out!) I've never had anything frozen before, so I have no idea what the cycles are like. Could you tell me about the process? For those to whom it applies, did your doctor let you start right after a BFN IVF cycle? How many days from CD1 until transfer?

Thanks, @IFinTN! This is very helpful. I'm hoping other ladies will comment so I can see how much variation in these cycles exists. Perhaps, similar to regular IVF cycles, the big question would be how long I'm on the BCPs.

It's not just the negative HPTs, I feel exactly like I always do before AF comes. Having been pregnant twice now, I'm getting to know what my body feels like with and without something on board. Right now there ain't nothing on board.

I was on estrace tablets for my FET cycle. 5 days before transfer I started PIO, medrol, and an antibiotic. I am still taking PIO and Estrace.

29 days from cd1 to transfer, but I went on vacation in the middle of the cycle. They just had me on extra estrace while I was gone. When I got back I was ready for transfer.

@cls78 - I don't mind you posting at all, but I don't understand what you wrote. Could you say a bit more about the schedule?

I had fresh transfer in December and waited a few months, the BFN was devastating to me. So in May when I got AF, I started BCP that day, I took them for about 2 weeks, then started the progesterone in oil injections, Estrace pills 3xday and went for bloodwork and u/s just twice in that time, when my lining was ready, I was told to take prednisone pills 2xday the day before transfer, be on miniville patches 3xday, continue progesterone in oil injects and estrace. They thawed 2 embryos morning of transfer (june 13) I went in -same as fresh - with full bladder, procedure was the same, afterward was the same - bed rest, no caffeine, water, continue meds, etc. close to 28 days from AF/BCP to actual transfer.

Sorry... Here is a more detailed schedule.....I started estrace pills starting on 4/28 (cd3). I started PIO shots, medrol, and a antibiotic on 5/19. On 5/23 I went in to R.M-A for a final lining check and was giving a progesterone suppository to take at a 11am on transfer day. 5/24 was my FET. Beta was 9dp5dt on 6/2.

Ivf #1 resulted in a loss so I needed to wait a whole cycle then have a lining scratch. On CD 21, I started lupron. Once I got my lupron period I dropped my dosage down and have been on patches. My transfer is scheduled for next Friday. All in all I'd say about 45 days of meds. 

We have 4 frozen so we are set to transfer 2. If this does not work we'll most likely transfer 2 the next time.

My first FET was longer than my second FET. I did 21 days of BCPs starting on cd4 with the first and 18 with my second. For both, I went off BCPs and started delestrogen injections after a few days, then started PIO 5 days before transfer.

I started BCP on like CD5 or something (I had been spotting with CP so it was hard to tell when AF really started) and was on BCP for full 3 weeks.  During the last week of BCP I started lupron which I took for 2.5 weeks.  I started Estrace a little over a week before Lupron was done.  I had a little less than a week of Estrace alone then started PIO 5 days before transfer.  So in short I started BCP on 5/4 and ET was 6/18.  It was directly following my fresh IVF cycle and CP.

Hopefully you won't need this info, but......My FET is after after my first ER which was a freeze all. I called on CD1, started bcp's on CD3 (5/21) and took my last one on 6/4, so 15 days. I had a baseline appt on 6/6 and started estrogen injections that night and continuing every 3rd day. I went in for a lining check and bw on 6/19, started PIO injections on 6/21 (5 days before transfer) and transfer is scheduled for 6/26. Everything looked ok at my lining check, but I had a little bit of fluid in my uterus so need to do one last u/s on Tuesday. I asked what happens if I need another FET and was told I could start bcp's right away for 2-3 weeks.

I'm getting ready to do my first FET. I had to wait one natural cycle after my fresh IVF cycle which resulted in a BFP/miscarriage at 6 weeks.

I just started BC pills on day 3, which was 6/20. I will take BC pills until July 12.

I will start 20 u of Lupron on July 9 and drop down to 10u on July 19. 

Estrace and a baby aspirin will start on the 19th and continue through the transfer, which is schedule for August 6. 

The progesterone will start around August 1.

I'm waiting on AF to get here so that I can start my first FET protocol.  My schedule says that I will be doing BCP for 2-3 weeks and then 3 weeks of shots before the ET (estrogen every 3 days and then daily PIO about a week before the ET). 

Timing-wise, I guess that it will be just a few days longer on the FET protocol than the IVF.  The thing that surprised me with mine is that there are way more shots (10 days of shots for IVF before ER/ET versus 3 weeks for the FET cycle).  And I have to keep doing the shots after the ET until a BFN or I am 10 weeks.

I had to wait for one natural cycle. Then I had an MRI and ended up doing Lupron for 3 months. I'm pretty certain most REs have you wait for one natural cycle. Best of luck with your FET.

Just thought I'd give the update. Dr. Fancypants said there's no reason for me to take a cycle off. Because of some scheduling problems, I'm going to do about 1.5 weeks of BCP, but normally my clinic wouldn't have FET people do that. Their protocol is simply Estrace for 12-14 days, then PIO + Medrol + Azithromycin for five, then transfer. Very simple protocol.

ET for me will be the last week in July, assuming all goes well.
