Yes, sun. You can also try putting some peroxide on it first, although I occasionally get discoloration from that. It's worth a try though.

So my ILs are spending the night and babysitting the boys tomorrow. Finn is a little off today. He's on antibiotics to treat his ear infection and conjunctivitis. Well, he is freaking out whenever FIL comes near him. He let's MIL hold him, although only I could calm him down at one point. We tried having him feed Finn a bottle and solids, but Finn is having no part if it. I feel bad because it's really hurting FIL's feelings. They haven't seen the kids for about a month, so it's been a while and Finn is off today, but I still feel bad for him. I'm really hoping Finn gets a good nights sleep and does okay when we have to leave tomorrow.

Has anyone else dealt with this? It seems way too soon for stranger anxiety and he's pretty used to people in general from daycare. He and FIL bonded last month, so I was surprised by his reaction this time.

Wtf lowes?! They delivered 5/8" plywood instead of 1/2". DH couldn't figure out why his measurements were off and spent hours fucking with it. Errrrr!!!!!

Seriously? After they screwed up actually delivering it? Did the manager ever call you yesterday or whenever that was? Wtf.

No he never called me back, I had to them again. I'm so aggravated right now! DH is sitting up there in the dark just staring at it and stewing. He's a perfectionist too so this is killing him. I don't know what he's going to do.

Nooooooo! Leave it in the rice for like 48 hours. (Flip it over after 24 hours) As long as it dries out before you use it it should be fine. At least that's what I was told for iPhone.

DS woke up at 6am so I left DD sleeping in bed with DH and came downstairs with DS. DS and I were cuddling under the blanket watching Brave and I dozed back off. DH comes down 1/2 hr later and hands me DD and says he's going back to bed. I still have a terrible head cold and now both kids are up.

WTF DH?! I'm sick I should be the one sleeping in. He is such a douchecanoe sometimes!

Called and laid the smackdown with Lowes. The manager offered to deliver it tomorrow because they don't have a delivery truck available today. I told him I don't care how but I wanted the plywood delivered first thing this morning. He called back five minutes later and said someone is bringing it in a pick up truck. I think I scared him

Thanks! It was on when it made the dip so I'm not sure what effect that will have on it.

Sitting on the couch eating donuts with DS (he has an old fashion, I have a Boston cream)

DS: Ooooooo! (Pointing at the chocolate on top of my donut)
Me: I know, it's chocolate (as DS sticks finger in chocolate)
DS: Mmmmm!
Me: I know! Now try this! (shows him Boston cream filling and he tastes it)
DS: WOW!!! Yum! (throws his donut to the dogs and attacks mine)

As much as he drives me crazy it's little moments like this that I love. (Though I wish I didn't have to share my donut )

I will never order another item from Lowes again!!!!

DH just installed the sliding door and it has no screen door. We spoke to two different sales associates on two different days about that door and neither one of them mentioned that the screen door was not included and an additional $120. Even though we clearly said both times that we wanted the screen door. The whole reason we chose that door was because of the screen door.

So I called to talk to the manager (a different one) and he tells me it says it on the "additional products" advertisement next to the door. He is going to at least deliver it to us for free but WTF!!!

Less good times is how fussy LO has been today. She refuses to nap and nothing makes her happy. Where did my happy, chill baby go?

Thanks everyone! The only reason we went through lowes is because I had a 10% off coupon. We have about another $1000 worth of material to order. We will definitely be going through Home Depot.

@VCGolfNYC‌ I'd love to call in a contractor to finish (we have a couple in the family actually) but DH would never. He is a perfectionist and thinks everyone is incompetent (insert eye roll here).

@rachel2011‌ I would give anything for a kid free relaxing massage with all the wine. But we're actually going to Sesame Street Place for a few days. That's the same thing right?

@VCGolfNYC Yes!  This is the exact one I had while pregnant and still use now (bouncing her to sleep, yoga, for my husband to sit on while I nurse her to sleep, etc.). I liked it because the foot pump is super easy and I haven't had to reinflate at all since I did it that first time.

It helped during labor for me tremendously! When you labor on it, just make sure a towel is on the ball.

I told DH if we have another baby, I am buying a birthing ball.  The hospital where I delivered had one ball and it helped so much, relieving pressure and making contractions so much more bearable.  Unfortunately, when I got up to walk around and everyone left the room, one of the nurses came and took the ball for her patient.  Labor was downhill from there.  That's why I will be bringing my own next time.
