Hi. Looking for some success stories. I am currently 17 weeks. I had my cerclage placed on May 29th at 14 weeks. My cervical length has shortened drastically from 4 cm (on Wednesday) to 1.2 cm just in 2 days. . I'm very scared but I'm trying to stay positive. ...I'm also getting the 17p shots. I have a history of two second trimester losses at 18.5 weeks and a preemie born at 27.5 weeks...
I am so sorry you are going through this. Said a prayer for you and baby. I don't have experience with this but you can always come here to vent/escape. Hugs >:D<
No experience with a cerclage but in the last week my cervix shortened from a 3 to a 1.2 and I ended up in l & d... On progesterone again and on modified bed rest. wishing you the best of luck and praying in the weeks to come!! Try to take it extra easy!
I'm so sorry you're going thru this! I had a cerclage with my son and my cervix measured short the entire pregnancy. I was on complete bedrest for an entire 6 months; but we made it to 36 weeks. It is possible! I assume you're seeing a specialist? Did you get put on bedrest? Take it easy, even if they didn't say you need bedrest (some drs don't believe it makes a difference; other's swear by it), put yourself on bedrest. I believe in it for sure!
I am currently 18 weeks and going for another cervical check on Monday. I'll be praying for you and baby, be sure to keep us updated!!!

Surprise Baby Boy, born sleeping at 31 weeks on 9/21/14
Hi thanks for sharing your story. The fact that you made it to 6 months gives me so much hope. Yes I put myself on complete bed rest. Its hard because i have a 4 year old. Like you said my doctor doesn't believe bedrest is effective but I'm doing it anyway. I'm also on indomethacin to stop the contractions (just until Monday).
Thanks for the encouragement. I pray that the Lord sees us through this journey.
This isn't my story, it is a friend, but hopefully you find it helpful! She was placed on fully monitored bedrest at 22 weeks (I think, that's an estimate) - she had to stay in the hospital a looong time, until 28 weeks. They let her go home, she had to stay on bedrest at home. At 37 weeks she was let off bedrest and stayed pregnant until a few days shy of her due date!
