I think LO has a belly ache

She's been super fussy all day. Tonight, I had a broccoli and cheese pasta bake and now she's farting and crying whenever she farts. I didn't even think that might affect her :( how do I make her feel better?

Re: I think LO has a belly ache

  • I just fed her again and now she's sleeping on my chest (her favorite place) and she seems pretty content at the moment.

This! All of the above works for my little girl, especially the gas drops. I also burp her a few more times during feeding.

Bicycle legs, stomach massage, gas drops, and sadly just time. I hope she feels better soon!

    Edit: I can't type.

My pediatrician told me anything that makes you gassy will make LO gassy. Stinks bc I love dark greens, beans, and ice cream and she doesn't like any of them.

  • Do they get better as they get a bit older? Like do their stomach get better at digesting and passing gas? My hubby is against giving the LO any gas drops or any kind of meds.
  • @irenewslee‌ yes, they do get better. However, let hubby know that gas drops quite literally go right through LO, they don't get absorbed in anyway. They go in, pop all the bubbles, and come out the other end. That might make him feel better. You can also get all natural gripe water which is supposed to help.

  • I've been using the gripe water and it does magic...with helping constipation, too! Baby seems to like the taste too she always sucks it right down.
