Welcome back blondie! I'm so sorry about Jo. I agree with CLLDLL about trying while she's sleepy. You will learn other ways to comfort her. Cuddling, rocking, even giving a bottle. Hugs.

The only way DS2 would take a bath was with me. He typically hated the first couple minutes until he realized he could easily nurse then totally relaxed. I think the skin to skin is awesome too. When my kids have been needing extra comfort I will bring them to bed with me and lay with them, often skin to skin when they are babies. There is just something so comforting about that to both of us.
Am I the only one who has never taken a bath with a baby
I have not. It never occurred to me that this was a thing.
Me neither. On the rare occasion that I get to take a bath, it is my happy place where I get to be alone. Plus, I think I like the water way hotter than an infant can tolerate.
Anyway, welcome back @blondolphn. Hope better days come soon for you.
thanks guys I'm just overwhelmed at the moment. I did get her to latch on last night, so she ate a bit. I am not producing much, but I hope to nurse in bed.
I don't know her cries anymore because she's changed a lot in two weeks. So i feel bad. And dh doesn't think I should try to bf anymore, not even at night. But she took sippy cups of formula from me before I left and she took some from me this morning so I think a good compromise is to nurse only at night.
My house is a disaster area. I will be spending the entire day cleaning, and will take me several days to get caught up on laundry and discover all the wtf happened..... Including the walker thing that has pink stains all over it that is a pita to unhook and wash.
I'm just so frustrated, pissed off, and guilty right now. And dh doesn't get it.
Oh and why MIL must you buy clothes that are way too big and then promptly put my baby in them. It makes it harder for her to crawl and try to walk when she is in 18 month size clothes or a small childrens.... She is still wearing 6-9 month onesies....
Go easy on yourself blondie. You are doing what you have to do. Don't feel guilty. You will get back into your routine. And screw the house and laundry. Do what you can, but focus on you and Jo. Hugs.

Thanks. Jo has a cold and feels miserable, so I am wearing her. She seems content being wrapped up. Dh and i got into one fight already. his mom apparently cleaned up. i have high standards apparently....
Welcome back. Sorry to hear about your struggles. I've never bathed with my kids, but I'm not a big bath taker. I could see how that could be relaxing for both of you, though. Hope things get easier for you soon!
