Beyond pissed and at a loss! Help. :(

You might remember my diaper sprayer saga. I tried the DIY route, twice, the parts don't fit together. I even had help from the plumbing guys at Lowe's and Ace. And my brother. My brother won't work on it anymore, because he's beyond frustrated also. I have $40 worth of parts to take back from our last attempt.

I finally bought that sprayer I posted about. I got it in the mail today and was excited to hook it up. All the fittings are too big!! Like double what my fittings are. I thought maybe it hooked under my tank, so I took that apart. Nope, a smidge too small, and I think the threads are different.

What the hell do I do?! I can't return the sprayer. All I can think of is take the hose from my toilet and the sprayer to the hardware store and maybe they can find what works?!

I'm so mad I could cry. I'm sick of dunking crappy diapers and I don't know why they don't carry the parts I need for a stupid sprayer!! They literally don't carry what I need.

I haven't seen your previous post(s), but it sounds like you just need an adapter for the fitting.  I'm guessing your toilet fitting is 3/8, and if it's really 2x as big, the sprayer fitting might be 3/4.  I would take your original toilet supply line (so they can see what size the supply line fitting is), and the sprayer line to Lowe's (or wherever), like you said and tell them you need an expansion fitting to connect the sprayer.  HTH!

I have to go there today for some trees, so I will take it with me. I'm not going to hold my breath, though.

For the two DIY sprayers, we knew what we needed, but they didn't carry the fitting.

Agree with PP, if you know exactly what you need and they don't carry it, look around online.  There are a bunch of plumbing supply websites that you could probably order it from if it's not common enough to be on amazon, etc.

I DID run into a family friend who is a contractor and he is going to come over and help me. Yay!

I have a picture on how the sprayer is supposed to connect, from a friend of the lady I bought the sprayer from, but I think it is wrong. I didn't look closely until today. They removed the original toilet shut off and attached the sprayer to the water line coming out of the wall. So the sprayer regulates the flow to the toilet and sprayer....

Can you search online for the installation instructions for the sprayer?  Often the manufacturer will offer PDF manuals on their website.  I'm honestly not sure if it's supposed to be connected on top of the shut-off valve, or in place of it.

There isn't a brand on it. And the lady didn't know.

It's a 1/2 inch pipe fitting for the main attachment. I learned that all by my big girl self while at Lowe's.

The family friend never responded to my text yesterday. I'm just washing my hands of it for now. It seems like I'm going to have to change my water supply coming in and I don't know if that is extreme, just to hook up a dumb diaper sprayer....
