WCM and solids

Please point me in the right direction if this has been covered! I'm figuring out how we will transition to WCM but am confused about how much to give. Right now LO gets about 15-20 oz of formula, feed solids between every bottle (4 good-sized solid meals a day). Should I be trying to give her more solids and less formula now or do I keep with the same amounts as we transition to WCM? I'm going to mix in WCM with her formula bottle, increasing ratio as she gets used to it then give pure WCM in a sippy. Most of her caloric intake should be from solids once we transition, right? Thank you mommas!

  • I saw those two threads but didn't get the info I am looking for. @HauntedRadio‌ asked basically the same question as me in the first thread but nobody has answered her yet. Am I missing it?

@EricaLee2013‌ check out the July 13 board. They have had a lot of WCM discussion in the last month or so that I've been lurking. :)

Thanks! I have my creep pants on now.

Oh I'll be doing the same - thanks @HauntedRadio!!
  • I intro'd WCM about a week ago in a sippy. I did not change anything about their eating habits at that time. I had planned on status quo of eating/bottles but I'm sick of pumping at work, so I dropped their afternoon bottle yesterday as a trial. It went fine so we'll go with it.

They still seem to be interested in their late morning bottle/nursing session so we'll keep it for now. I really want to be done pumping, so we'll stop that in 2-3w prob.

I will keep morning/night nursing as long as possible.

WCM only goes in a sippy. They get a snack of a sippy and fruit or something instead of their bottle/nurse. All other meals stay the same.
