Sending mail US to canada

We are traveling next month, first stop Montreal. My debt card will expire at the end of June. I was going to have my mom buy a birthday/thank you card stick them in side the card and send.

Do you think they will arrive okay?

We will be in canada for a month before we are state side.

For those that don't know I live in Morocco so having them sent here now, one we may never get them or we may not get them in time.

What say you June 2013.

I think it will be fine, but could you contact your bank and have them send it early?

@WasNotWas‌ my cards have already been sent to Denver. My mom has them. If we weren't going to Montreal first it wouldn't have been issue.

While I'll have cash on me while there I would feel more comfortable having my card as well.

Gotcha! Yeah, I think they will travel safely in the mail from the US to Canada. We have a lot of Candian relatives so I trust the mail system with letters no problem.

When we have things sent to Morocco we send priority boxes and they take 15-20 days to get here and like another 5 to go through custom. Where they may or may not open the box and go through it.
The few times my mom sent regular mail, cards or things like that it was hit or miss if we got it.

I've never had an issue receiving things in Canada sent from my parents in AZ over the winter. I agree with @kdc2007‌ though, priority with a tracking number will probably put you more at ease. And just a heads up... I mailed a gift for my niece's birthday from AZ to BC, Canada in April. It was supposed to arrive within a week, but it took almost 2. So be prepared for it to take a little longer than expected.
