What system worked best for you when it came to disposing of your babies' diapers?
I've had several friends (of singletons) recommend the Diaper Genie, but I'm kind of thinking two babies, 10 diapers each a day, that thing is probably going to be full all the time (plus you have to buy the refills). Seems notsomuch cost effective.

TTC since 2011
Aug. - Sept. 2013 - dIUIs = BFNs
January 2014 - IVF = 3 freezer babies
March 2014 - FET of AA and AB blast = BFP! Twins!
Nov. 7, 2014 - Wilhelmina "Willa" Suzanne (4lb 14oz) and Ari Jose (6lb 4oz) were born via CS
We use the Diaper Genie with DD and plan to use one for the twins, too (DD has her own, and twins will have their own). Interested to see what BTDT moms have to say though!
I think it kind of depends on the set-up of your house. We have 2 changing tables - one in the nursery upstairs and one on the main floor. We have a diaper genie upstairs and a small trash can downstairs. The trash can is emptied daily (or more) and the genie about 1x per week. Most diaper changes happen downstairs.
With DS 1, we lived in a different house where everything was on the main floor. We just used a trash can for wet diapers and we took the poopy ones outside to the trash because it was right out the side door.

With DD, we had a Diaper Champ (not sure if they still make them), which we will use again with the twins. The beauty of the diaper chance was that it took regular trash bags. With very few exceptions, we could fit a whole week's worth of diapers in it. So we'll probably end up emptying it over the coarse of the week, but that will be OK.
If you wan the diaper genie but don't want to use te refills, there are You. Tube videos on how to use regular trash bags with it. It's actually pretty simple.

DS-Born 7/27/11 After 2 years of IF we have our little man
Just a regular trash can right now. I have a diaper genie that I used with DD and will probably use it again with the girls when I feel motivated to get it out of storage.
We use the normal garbage - between all the diapers and all the other people in our house, we take the garbage out once every other day maximum, so it just makes more sense. Diaper genie just made more work for all of us. If a diaper is especially nasty, we either tie it in a plastic shopping bag first, or take it straight out to the dumpster.

We throw pee diapers away in the regular trash. For poop diapers we have two smaller trash cans with a push top lid. One in the garage for downstairs and the other in the laundry room upstairs. They are just the regular Target ones-nothing fancy and contain all smells! And were only like $8 a piece.
DD's diaper Geanie started to stink after about 9months and we could not get rid of the smell, so now it's in the garage and all poop diapers go straight there. Otherwise, pee diapers go in the regular trash can, which has a foot pedal. DD has a regular can in her room and so will the twins when they move to their room.
We're using the Tommee Tippee version of a diaper genie with our twins. It individually seals every diaper and has worked amazing so far in terms of controlling the stench. To help cut costs, we just through the pee diapers directly in the garbage and only use it for the poo. We usually have to empty it once every 5-7 days or so.
Used just a trashcan with foot pedal, and took it out often. During the first months it was breast milk only poops, and the odor was never really offensive.
