What do you always have leftovers of? What do you do with your leftovers? What makes the best leftovers?
Son: Jackson, 11/02/06, stillborn due to PPROM and IUGR. Over the next ten years we had 9 miscarriages from 8-14 weeks. On May 18, 2016 my daughter, Ridley, was born. We're OADNBC.
Re: S/O Leftovers
I will eat Thanksgiving leftovers until I'm dead - if you don't eat Thanksgiving leftovers, you cannot call yourself an American. I will eat leftover pizza. And leftover take-out.
That's my 20%
Otherwise, I feed hungry friends with containers full of a variety of casseroles, lasagna, chicken and wild rice soup, broccoli cheese soup, beef stew, or chicken and dumplings. My recipes are obnoxiously large (feeds 6-12) but if I cut them down they just don't taste right.
@ashleyinva, your buffalo chicken recipe sounds divine!!!
My favorite leftover dish is to take leftover Thanksgiving turkey and make turkey pot pies. Love this recipe: https://m.allrecipes.com/recipe/215447/dads-leftover-turkey-pot-pie !

That being said. The only leftover I've not liked was chicken pasta salad I froze. That was gross.
Meatballs! I make extra just so I can have a meatball poboy the next day with provolone. Potato salad! I never have potato salad go bad.
This is also why I have to plans to do freezer meals if/when we have a baby. I feel like very few things reheat correctly. I'd rather just put money together for gift cards so we can order out or make sure we have chopped veggies and meats.

Plus, h doesn't eat beans and I am incapable of making less than 6+ servings at a time, so if I'm making it there are always leftovers.
I never get Thanksgiving leftovers! We always go to my mom's house, and she sends them home with the relatives. Since we spend the night, we don't get any. So I have to make sure I eat my full the night of (or you know, make my own Thanksgiving once we're home.)
I make a pasta dish with garlic, olive oil, and parmesan tossed with turkey sausage and green beans. I like it right after I've cooked it, but its *alllllllllmost* better cold the next day for lunch at work.
Also I always order extra Chinese food for the same reason.
Husband and I argue over the merits of microwaving said leftovers. I prefer pretty much everything cold. Cold > mushy.
