Sea Bands

Anyone try them for nausea? I havent done too much research on them or seen them much on M/S or nausea posts but my mom bought them for me and I'm giving them a try. This is my second day and I have to say I woke up feeling better this morning, not 100% but pretty freaking good compared to how I have been feeling. The little ball on them can be irritating but damn I'll put up with that over all day nausea!! B-)

  • They're the wrist bands people wear on like boats for sea sickness. They're for motion sickness or they say on the package pregnant women with morning sickness

This for me too.  I get motion sickness all the time - cars, planes, trains, boats - I swear if I ran too fast I could probably bring it on!  I tried them once, along with Gravol and ginger chews, and it did not help.  I have wondered if it's a bit of a placebo effect.  Even if it is, if it helps, go for it!

  • I tried them last time and they didn't work. I haven't had to pull them out this time, so I can't comment on them now. I did have a friend who swore by them.

  • They work pretty good for me. 5-10 min after I put them on I feel 10x better. I wear mine so long a couple times a week I get little bruises on the inside of my wrists because I sit at a desk all day. The bruises go away with in a day so it's pretty much worth it.

I got some the other day but haven't worn them long enough to notice a difference. They were really tight on my wrists, and SO obvious- I felt like I should just wear a sign that says "pregnant lady right here!"

Hahaha I feel like I'm pulling off the double sweatband just worked out super hard kind of look. I figure if anyone stares or questions my hormones will answer their question in the form of my nasty bitchy snap to tell them "I'm pregnant you got a problem?!"

  • I bought some today and felt like they helped a little, but we haven't announced ourselves yet, so I had to keep taking them off when I was around people I know. They are definitely obnoxious, but if they actually work, I won't care, at all!

  • I used them last pregnancy 24/7 for the first tri.  I had really bad nausea, they helped.
  • I have mixed feelings about mine- twice after putting then on I've felt awesome but the other times they haven't seemed to make a difference. Ginger tea seems to help for me. I also got the preggie pop drops which seem to make me more sick. Maybe I need to use them a few days first to see if they work?
