I woke up this morning to go to my second u/s appointment to find red spotting (talk about perfect timing). I went in and shared the news and wasn't too hopeful that this appointment would be successful. Much to my surprise, we found a strong heartbeat (119 bpm) and an embryo measuring 6w, 6d (right on schedule). I still have my morning sickness at full strength & the stretching/cramping feeling I've had for the last two weeks. My doctor chalked the bleeding up to my placenta burrowing into my uterine wall - has anyone else encountered this? I'm glad to have a reason for the bleeding but it still leaves me feeling uneasy. Thanks in advance!
