WAHM Wool Prep questions

Yesterday I was browsing a local baby consignment store and found several new wool soakers for very cheap and grabbed one to try. I'm working on lanolizing it, but now I'm wondering if it's the right type of wool that can be used for a soaker? Can anyone tell from this pic if it will work (it's wet in the pic too). Also, I already went through the steps to lanolize once and it's drying, I read that it needs to be lanolized several times when new...so do I need to wait for it to dry now and start all over?

  • You can rub dry lanolin in too.

I don't really have any other input but that's adorable.

  • Thanks ITK! It was only $12! Guess if it doesn't work out I'm not out very much. And if it does I'll have to go get more!

  • If it doesn't work well as a soaker by itself, you can always put it over the diaper/cover for some summer pj bottoms. I never used wool as a cover, but I use wool pj pants almost exclusively because they're breathable and can absorb the little leaks if a diaper would otherwise leak onto cotton pjs.
