Cloth Diapers

Im sure this has been posted many a time but......Looking into using cloth diapers when at home. Any recommendations, thoughts, experiences? Looking at Alva, FuzziBunz and bumGenius.

I did... Just didn't see anything on specific brands used if some preferred one type over another.

Unfortunately, everyone has their own opinions on this topic. Difference baby shapes fit different diapers. A brand that some people love, others will hate. Generally the recommendation would be to get a varied stash (or do a diaper trial) to figure out what works best for you. Of the brands you mention, I've only tried fuzzibunz and BumGenius. The FB worked great for us for a while, but I sold mine after deciding I liked other brands better. I haven't used them since they redesigned. BGs never really fit my kiddo well. They we're too wide in the crotch for us. Both are well made, though, and if they fit your child, they're great options. I know quite a few ladies on here also like Alvas, but mostly for the cost factor,

If you're looking for definitive answers, you're not really going to find them.

A lot of it comes down to what works for you and your baby.  All three of those are well liked brands by many people.

Personally, I like the bumgenius snap down rise and don't like the fuzzibunz sizing adjustment.

I've never tried Alva, but do like Kawaii which is similarly priced.

If it were me, I'd buy one or two of each and then find out which you like best.

We used prefolds and covers for the first 10 weeks or so. We now use BG 4.0s and Freetimes. I like them both for different reasons. The 4.0s are easy to get poop off of and the Freetimes are easier to tell if DD peed. We use the snapped insert during the day and then add a hemp insert to that for at night.

There are a few vendors who offer diaper trials, so you can try different brands and types.

ditto everyone else.  You really need to try a couple of each and see what you want to invest in.

Now that I'm on a real computer I see no ticker. How old is your child, or are you expecting? I would have different recommendations depending on age. In my experience, some diapers have worked better at some stages than others.

I have a really hard time determining when someone is being sarcastic.

I didn't want her to go buy a bunch of Trendy Bumz thinking ya'll were serious.
