Pregnant after a Loss

AW: Stress with Side Effects?

Anyone else notice that when they get really stressed/worked up these days that they get really gassy (burps) or have their heart race?

I hope that I am not just the one SS.

Also, I think I need a mandatory meditation corner.

Re: AW: Stress with Side Effects?

  • My heart definitely races a LOT easier.  I was happy to hear at my first OB appointment that my blood pressure was actually low because I was feeling so stressed.  Maybe we just need to CHILL and stop worrying!!

  • I hope you're not dealing with too much stress, love!  I don't notice those specific side effects but I do notice I have a shorter temper and get more easily flustered and frustrated.  I have to sometimes remove myself in these situations for a quick breather or even a cry, and then I feel better.  Thanks hormones!

  • Pregnancy is super special.  I am so happy that we are having a LO but this whole situation is a mess for my body.

I definitely have the homicidal mood swings but at times when I can't release (i.e., in a professional setting when I am trying to tamp down the emotions) it seems to translate into a physical response like the heartburn/indigestion/racing heart/etc.

Definitely this as far as the emotional response goes.  Yeah, things have been stressful at work but no more than I have dealt with in the past.  Just a lot going on all at once....  I guess I'll mention it to my OB, but I think it's my "new normal."  When I de-stress those symptoms seem to disappear.
