I've been contracting since the early afternoon. Initially they were pretty irregular, but around dinner (5h later) they were 12m apart. Another 8h later and they are still are only 9m apart, though 1 minute long and getting more painful. Just enough to ensure I can't get any sleep.
This is so much slower then last time. I was really hoping for this part to be faster the second time around like so many promise.
Doc told us to go in when they are 8 minutes apart because of how fast everything went from 7m to transition to delivery last time. She is actually worried about me delivering at home. Well 5 hours of contractions 10ish minutes apart I want to scream ...
No point to this message other then to vent. And I guess let you guys know I'm in labour (I don't have a LB).

I feel ya! I had those types of contractions for about 15 hours before I really went into labor. Then I had another 12 hours of active labor on top of it (but had the epidural for 7 of those hours). Hang in there and try to sleep when you can!
Good luck! My early labor lasted about 24 hours this time which was super frustrating because I had 0 early labor the first time! Hopefully things pick up quickly for you soon!
Long labors can be so frustrating and boring! Can you get out and do things still, or is it too painful for that? Take a walk, go to the mall or a bookstore, etc.? I hope things speed up soon!
Sadly, no good news. We went to the hospital at 5am, when my contractions were 6 min apart. Cervix was my enemy, and didn't improve after 2 hours. Went home and they gradually slowed to every 30 minutes. So sadly I guess yesterday was just pre-labour. I never experienced that will my daughter. I also didn't have an actually painful contraction with my daughter until I entered transition (then I begged God to end me). This pre-labour/labour is so different. I'm even more frustrated because I don't know what to expect.
They are back to every 6-8 min, but practically stopped when I got in the bath. Not a good sign for having this baby tonight. On the up side, in the past few hours my MP has changed from a bit of old brown blood, to bright red blood... Giving me some hope that my cervix is cooperating.
Thanks everyone for yours words of support. I wish all of you a more cooperative cervix.
