Cloth Diapering

Swim Diapers

Does anyone have a take on a real swim diaper (Bummis or a Blueberry swim CD) vs. using an old pocket diaper instead? I am worried about nasties getting out of a pocket if repurposed but not sure if that is a real issue.

I currently have a i play swim diaper and DH hates having to pull off a wet diaper as it is quite difficult to get off.

Re: Swim Diapers

  • I frequently use a regular pocket diaper with and sometime without and insert. It does it's job still on catching everything.

I've read a lot of people on here say that they just use an old pocket and it does the same thing. In my case, since DD is so young all of her diapers are still in good shape. So I just picked up a cheap swim diaper from snugglebugz.

Do yours have snaps? I think some don't have snaps and are pull on/off, which I can imagine are a pain, especially if its a dirty diaper too.

    Ahh. Yup, they have snaps

  • I have applecheeks swim diapers.  The work good, but I've never had to have them catch anything.

My son will be sporting a pink one this summer, because I'm cheap and just don't care.
