Intro - Due February 16

Hey all! I got my BFP last Thursday and have an EDD of February 16. This will be mine and my boyfriend's first baby, so we are really nervous and excited. I go for my first prenatal appointment on July 10th, at which time I will be around 8 weeks. Will they do an ultrasound or will I be able to hear a heartbeat then? It is so hard to believe that I am pregnant. I have a hard time even saying that! But I definitely feel it, my boobs hurt super bad!

It depends on your OB/MW office. Mine does a dating u/s around that time and they listen for the heartbeat with a doppler at every appt.

Like the previous poster said, it really depends on your OB's office. It seems pretty common though that an u/s is done around 8-10 weeks to confirm your EDD. If they do an u/s then you should be able to hear the heart beat.

Gosh! My EDD is Feb 18 but my first appointment is same day as yours! Same situation too. First baby, excited and nervous. Congrats!

Thanks for all the welcome and support. I am super excited for my appointment and wish it would get here sooner! Sounds like July 10th is going to be an exciting day for a lot of us!
