@Natalie2167 that's funny that you listed this. M had a late afternoon nap, we just woke up at 630p. Yes--we. I was exhausted too! No I never wake him. I jut go with it.
Now I amend my answer: since he just woke up at 630p-anytime bt 8&10!
Ugh... I don't even want to admit how late my kids go to bed. It's shameful. They go to sleep anywhere from 9 to 11.
Well bedtime in our house is between 10 and 11pm. I know its late but I guess my view is that I know she sleeps 9 hours so if she goes to bed later she will let me sleep till around 730/8am which is nice.
I would make her bedtime earlier if she acted super tired or cranky of course. This schedule works for us, for now anyways!
A few weeks ago, he would get drowsy on his own between 8 and 8:30. I can't force him to sleep at all, so I have to wait until he gets drowsy. Now it's between 9 and 10. The other night it was 11!
I clicked 7 because she does seem ready around 7 most nights but in reality it depends on her. We don't put our kids to bed according to the clock; we put them to bed when they're ready to bed.
Yesterday she took a second nap and wasn't ready to crash until 9. The night before she took one nap and was ready to crash by 6.
SS - whenever he falls asleep. We've tried the routine thing, I've tried getting him to go down at X:00. Nothing works. He usually falls asleep between 8 and 10. Usually.
It's a crapshoot! Last night it was 10:30 because he was on a hyper rampage (he had been in the car a lot yesterday and slept almost every second of it!).
She's a mess and ready for bath by 6:15/6:30. But apparently things aren't going well because for the last 2 nights, she won't sleep more than 8 hours and last night we has a 2 hour party from 12:30-2:30 before she was up for the day at 5...wtf?!?!?
We do bedtime routine after dinner (around 7 usually), and he normally falls asleep sometime before 8. We're pretty flexible though, and if he's tired earlier or later that's when he goes down. I'll only spend so much time trying before I give up and let him play a little longer.

We start the routine anywhere between 6:30-8:30.
Side note: does anyone wake their LO from their afternoon nap? Like if they are sleeping past a certain time, do you wake them up?
