I have no focus

I recently started a new job and I work from home now. DS has the mother effing coxsackie and DH is here to care for him so I can work. But I can't. Because I can hear him crying. Andplusalso I'm distracted by the bump.

So I say fuck it... Tell me somethin' good....

Re: I have no focus

  • It's not Monday anymore?
That's about all I have. I'm just trying to get through this week and make it to vacation.

My girl just pinned at get potty and pooped on the floor. I was quick enough that she still got a lil turd in the potty so I could make a huge deal of the potty turd by giving high fives and dancing.

Thwn she got up and walked 5 feet away to pee on the floor

Hope you get some work done

I LOL'd. Sorry. My DD (3.5) still asks for a pull up for poop. She adamantly refuses to poop on the potty. She stands right in front of me and shits in a pull up and then has to be changed rightfuckingnow. It's been a battle for almost a year. About a month ago she was peeing and accidentally had the two tiniest turds come out into the potty. I made a huge deal and she was thrilled. I thought it was a breakthrough. Nope. But she does still talk about how she pooped "two tiny turds in the potty YESTERDAY". She doesn't know what yesterday means.

  • We're actually going on a real, taking a flight vacation back "home". I'm originally from California but we moved to Georgia when I was 9, so this is technically home now, but all of our family still lives out there. We're meeting up with everyone in this beach town that my Grandma has been taking my Dad to since he was a kid. I crawled for the first time there, we've had so much fun camping there in the past. We now all rent houses and condos, but I miss the camping days. Needless to say, I have really fond memories of this place and cannot wait to be back, and show it to P, and take her pictures in the spots I have pictures of me as a kid in.

Now, the getting there part? The 5 hour flight and 2 hour drive in a rental car part? DREADING! I think I'm over-prepared for it though, I have different toys and snacks packed for each leg of the journey.

So, instead of working, I'm planning what outfits to bring since the weather is so much different (awesome) and looking at googlemaps planning our restaurant trips and day excursions to Santa Barbara for the zoo and museum and stuff like that.

We just got P a potty too. She's peed in it twice, but mostly still thinks it's a hat.

ETA-hit post too soon...she also likes to take the cup and use it to get toilet water from the toilet and pour it all over the bathroom floor, which is awesome.
We usually keep that door shut, but sometimes H forgets, I make him clean that mess up.

  • I personally think sam is young for me to be starting BUT she is super Aware and knows what it's all about so I didn't want to just ignore her interest. She had one good week and then it turned into a game

    Whatever

Potty training has been awful for me. DD was pretty easy with most other transitions. She was a difficult reflux baby but once she got out of that and STTN just about everything else has been a breeze until PT. It was several months before she was fully pee trained. Several more before she would use a public potty and that is still a sometimes battle. And the poop- well she may be the only kid ever to go to college shitting in a pull up.

DS has been a breeze, he has STTN since 4 weeks old (literally 10-12 hours) eats like a dream, rarely cries, easy going etc. I'm not sure whether he will be a nightmare toddler and have PT issues or if he will shit on the pot before DD. LOL.

    PT is my nemesis.

This is about what it's like for us too. I just kind of want her to get used to the idea of it before we really start trying.

I also have no focus.  I took a benadryl 15 hours ago and am still groggy.  Like 1st trimester tired.

This happens to me too. It didn't used to. I usually only take one and I'm ok- but I recently took two and the next morning I couldn't function. Like, I fell down the stairs and then walked into a wall. Hot mess.

    Hope you wake up soon!

I have no focus either.  Tired and hungry.

BUT we have date night tonight for the first time in.... I don't even know how long.  So that should be good?  Ha.  I'm just too tired to get excited.
Woohoo! I hope you have a good date night.
DH and I went on a date alone recently for the first time in forever. The guy at the table next to us was the most obnoxious A hole. We made fun of him the whole time.

  • No focus here either. I was hoping to get into the summer session at the school since I'm so excited to start, but it doesn't look like it will happen :(
