I'm mostly a lurker, but I have one and love it. I have the fitbit flex, the little bracelet thing, and It's pretty awesome. I never take it off except every 4 or 5 days to charge it. My favorite thing about it is that it seems to motivate me to take my stroller walks that I generally WANT to do until it's time to get out the door. I kinda live for the moment when I've made my goal and the bracelet vibrates and lights up in congratulations. Since I've bought the fitbit I've missed only one planned walk (the morning of my girl's birthday party), and I have more energy and am slowly losing weight. I also sync it with My Fitness Pal so I monitor my food there and then have fitbit input my burnt calories. I'd say if you have the money, get it and use it every day. I love mine. The only possible downside that I've heard is that when stroller pushing or grocery cart pushing, the steps my not be completely accurate. So I just push with one hand. Hope that helps!

  • I just got it yesterday and I tracked my sleep last night and proved to MH that I sleep like crap :) I like that it keeps track of like the little walking around the house that I do, definitely motivates me to get up and do chores just to get the step count up.

One negative that I noticed is that I think it overestimates the steps you take in a day since it's on your wrist (MH pointed out one way to get my step count up, if ya know what I mean). Also, it was crazy hard for me to put on!

I got it in teal and I do love the color :)

This is one of my complaints. I still choose to push the stroller with both hands but I realize the step tracker isn't always accurate. The black wristband and plastic screen scuff easily. I don't think I'm rough on it, but the band looks pretty bad after only 2 months. I'm not really impressed with the foods included on the Fitbit app. I tried using My Fitness Pal which has better food options, but then I couldn't easily view my activity progress.

I really like tracking my sleep. It's easy to switch the band in and out of sleep mode (tap it quickly several times). I have found that wearing the band helps motivate me to move throughout the day. 2 taps on the bracelet and I can see my daily progress. I also use the Fitbit for my morning alarm clock, when I have to wake up before LO. I program what time I want the alarm in the app. It vibrates pretty vigorously to wake me up, but it doesn't wake my husband.

Overall, I would recommend the Fitbit flex. It's helped me to lose 3-4 lb over 2 months.
