Seriously, kid? Why won't you nap?

You have had dark circles under your eyes since music therapy.

I cleared your bed off of toys. Turned the TV off. You found a paper towel to play with.

Now your socks are on your hand.

I had to put you in a time out for hitting me. Probably the first time ever in the hospital.

You are jumping up and down singing about your dark circles under your eyes.

You are pretending to cough, to be hungry and to get hurt all to get out of going to sleep.

Please, go the fuck to sleep child.

If someone prepped my bed, turned off the tv, and insisted I nap, I would worship the ground they walked on. Kids are crazy.

I know seriously. She did finally fall asleep, but it took EVERYTHING.

This hospital stay was different though. Before she was terrified of moving around on the bed due to the IVs. This time she could care less. She was crawling/jumping around/standing on the bed, and not even worried about yanking the port out.

Everyone in the world needs this pillow.  Preferably to nap on.

I'm glad she finally slept. It's so hard to keep a routine in the hospital I'm sure. That would make me so nervous about the port. I've had adults move too quickly and pull out their access, so I can only imagine how easily a three year old can.

She has pulled it out sleeping once. In one way I am glad that she is her usual bouncy self in the hospital and enjoys playing on the bed. It definitely is a change from the kid who would just lay in bed all day and watch TV. But still....NO JUMPING on the bed!

Whats with these kids? My kid refused his nap today too. I would love a nap!
