Okay, so. I bought a 1 piece last year and everyone said it wasn't flattering and I could wear a 2 pc and it would be more flattering and yadda yadda. My husband is really against 1 pc bathing suits so I thought a high waist bottom and crop top would be a compromise. Well, apparently I was wrong. My husband and best friend picked the entire suit apart and made me feel like a whale. What are you ladies wearing to the beach this summer??
I'm going to dirty delete this pic later but this is the suit. My husband said he really likes to top but the bottoms show too much bum. And my bestfriend said "what are you wearing for a top, I don't like that at all", "you look like you have a wedgie", and "I think you'd feel self conscious wearing that without a cover up". I'm not as small as I used to be (I am bloated in this pic but I do have a big ass and hips), but I didn't think it was all that bad ugh
I don't think the bottoms are bad. I don't think the two match at all and I'm not a fan of the top. I think you have a rockin' bod and should just go get a traditional bikini or a sexy one piece.
I've always been in the two-pieces are more flattering camp, but I just wasn't comfortable this year....working on it...but not there, yet.
I bought this at Ross.
I love this suit, especially the back! Super cute. I bought a retro styled 1 pc last year with a lot of rushing and polka dots, which for some reason made me look preggers haha
Thanks ladies. I bought a traditional bikini for around the house, but I guess I should start over for something that's beach worthy. Maybe I should start running?:)
Halter tankinis are the most flattering on me - one pieces look pretty bad. I second the PP who said you should wear whatever you feel most comfortable in!
BFP #1 9/2010 (lost our baby at 21 weeks)
BFP #2 8/2011 (ectopic pregnancy)
BFP #3 10/2011 (chemical pregnancy)
BFP #4 12/2011 (Abigail born 8/15/12)
BFP #5 5/2013 (Griffin born 1/23/14 with heart defects, now repaired!)
I think you look great and agree wear what is comfy! I love tankinis and swim shorts from Athleta because I don't like to show much skin but that is just a personal preference.
i think you look great! i agree that two pieces are more flattering. i'm still wearing my same bikinis from pre-pregnancy. they have halter tops and bikini bottoms (no strings, just regular bikinis).
i don't think anyone's SO should dictate their choice of clothing. especially since many guys are not exactly in bikini model shape and they still go the pool/beach in a bathing suit. :P
