DH just called me and said he's signing up for training that goes to 29 September. Sure it advances his career and that is great. The not so great part? My birthday is Sep 28 and LO first birthday is Sep 27. You suck DH. You suck.

Last week or so my SO's manager went into work with the flu because he can't afford to take the day off work, SO got the flu afterwards and was better for 2 days, I though I was in the clear but nope! I was soooo unbelievably sick for the last 2 days and no one could help with LO. I felt so bad for her.

Sorry to hear that! I'm in the same boat. DH is gone for 3 weeks and will miss lo's birthday

Well I just realized where he will be going is only a few states over. I could easily take time off work, drive to where he is and celebrate together as a family. That would get me out of planning a huge birthday party. I'm not against a party but we don't have anyone really to invite here. Sometimes being a military family has its perks and downfalls and asking grandma to fly across the country is one of them.

Today is my first day back to work since I was on vacation and I am finding it SUPER hard to get motivated.  Makes me want to be a SAHM even more....

Work is not happening however I've made some good progress on LO's first birthday party
