Is it possible to have implantation bleeding exactly when your period is due

I had spotting on Thursday during the day and slightly heavier on Thursday into Friday....nothing since and usually my period is about 5 days long.  I have started taking the opk's just in case it was a period but a short one.

Haven't you been sick on and off all month? That could throw your cycle off.
I say take a test and see what it says. If it's negative take another in a week and see what's up.
My sister had spotting when her period was due and she is about 10 weeks along now.
I hope it is because you are pregnant and just not a light period.

Yeah I have had a cold on and off all month.  I did get + opk's two days in a row and we did bd those days as well as the week before them. 

Can a period be that light?

Sorry forgot to answer your other question. I have had periods that have only lasted 2 days. But even though not much gets on the pad when I sit on the toilet much more comes out. Sorry tmi. But still only 2 days of bleeding.
Have you taken a test?

Yes, it is possible to spot/ have light bleeding on the day your cylcle would typically start and in fact be pg. Your cervix can bleed easily at the begining of pg, did you have intercourse, etc?  Did you take a pg test?  I'd take a hpt and erase the questions.  Best wishes!

Generally implantation bleeding is just a light dust of pink (barely any blood), or a few tablespoons worth. However-- sometimes people have their period still and are pregnant. How do you think the show "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant!" started?

I bleed for two days two days after I got my BFP. I tested on the date AF was due. So yes it's possible, good luck

I've had implantation bleeding twice and the first time it was exactly when af was due but it was so light and only lasted one day so I thought I had some kind of wacky cycle. The second time it started a few days before af was due and I had dark brown spotting for a few days which turned into peachy cm. Neither time did I have bright red bleeding like a normal af.

If your heavier bleeding was like normal af I would guess this was just a wonky cycle, which can definitely happen if you're sick or stressed. However, if nothing about it looked like normal af I would test in a week. If it's neg but you start having symptoms I'd test again. Good luck!

@hooligans4 - No I haven't taken a test yet.  TMI--right now my liner appears to be wet but there is nothing there...must be clear discharge.

@guennie- It was normal.  Very light and darker than usual.

I don't have anything to add, but I just wanted to send a hug. I hate it that our bodies screw with us like that. Hoping it becomes clear soon.

@kris-dan I suggest taking a test tomorrow with FMU. If period was due when the spotting started on Thursday you would be 4 days late. Not sure how many dpo you were on Thursday but if you are at least 12dpo now I would test.
Ttc is so frustrating sometimes.

Ooh I would be hopeful if I were you.  My AF has a same cycle pattern where if it starts, it comes on strong within a couple hours. I don't have a BFP yet so don't know what it's going to do, but if it did anything different I would start to get excited. Good luck!

When I got pg in January I had implantation bleeding 2 days before my usual pre-period spotting. I POAS 11 or 12 DPO and got a BFP. I'd say test.

I'm not having any signs or symptoms so I don't know.  I don't want to spend the money on a test so waiting to get a cheap one.  lol lol

Well I went for a walk and the Duane Reade in the city only has one test for $19.00 which I am not paying lol ----  so I called my mom and asked her to pick up a bunch from the dollar store and will test tomorrow when I get home.

I totally agree with you on spending 20 bucks on a test. That's why I pick up a few when I'm at the dollar store.

That is why my mom picked me up 5 at the dollar store this afternoon....she said they were giving her looks when she asked for them lol lol! Nah I wouldn't want to wait til the weekend myself. We are going to rye playland on Saturday for a diabetic family fun day for my son. Glad that I am your soap opera I promise that I will update tomorrow evening.
