This will be our first summer with my daughter's peanut allergy. I was wondering how to store her EpiPens when we are at the beach or at other outdoor locations for a long period of time. Thanks!
I put mine wrapped in tin foil in the cooler or in its own lunchbag in the cooler and have never had an issue. After summer is over I get new epipens BC I feel like they go in and out of the hot in my purse so much.

What ever you do, do not put them in the cooler!!! From the Epi Pen Website: EpiPen and EpiPen Jr® (epinephrine) Auto-Injectors should be
stored in the carrier tube provided at a temperature of 25ºC (77ºF);
however, temperature excursions between 15ºC and 30ºC (59ºF to 86ºF) are
permitted.1 EpiPen and EpiPen Jr Auto-Injectors should not be stored in refrigerators or in a vehicle’s glove box.1,2 EpiPen Auto-Injectors should not be exposed to extreme heat or cold2 and protect from light.
That being said we have ours in a fanny pack from Alertwear.com. DD who is almost 4 self carries when we are outside of the house. She wears the fanny pack customized to her liking from this site. We have not had problems with it in the heat. Otherwise if you are looking for a cheaper option register you Epi Pen with the Epi Pen website and they will send you a free case. As long as they are not in direct sunlight to sit and bake they will be fine. Alertwear also makes a water proof case that can be worn in the water.
I put mine in a container like a tub and then but them in the pocket of the icebox that is a bag
It stays cool but doesn't go in the icebox part so not exposed to extreme cold and the container keeps it from hitting the cold part..... Just what radiates off the side, out never feels cold in the pocket, just cool

Yours doesn't have to be a sad story

I just read this morning to store in an empty cooler or thermos. Last summer we used a Kool Blanket in our EpiPen case.
