Movement

I swore I would never ask medical advice here. But... I'm 15w6d I've felt the baby on and off since week 9. Not all day every day but the last 2 days I have felt very little movement. I have also lost about7 lbs in last 3 weeks. Nothing looks good. Nausea has set back in. I have appt tues. Any thoughts?

Call your doctor if you're concerned, but most women don't start feeling regular movement until 20+ weeks. I don't think a doctor would even do a kick count until much later.

  • You aren't even supposed to do kick counts until 28 weeks because the baby is still small and able to flip around making it harder to feel the movements.

As for your weight loss, I lost a few pounds when I got sick but gained it back very quick. My Ob was never worried about weight loss. If you are concerned give your Dr a call.

  • I'd look at nausea as a reassuring sign ;-)...it's still too early for movement to be regular. Keep your chin up. Sending positive vibes your way!
