Hi ladies, I was wondering how those of you who had been on bed rest worked up your stamina for labor. I get winded pretty easily now from being on bed rest for about 12 weeks. I know it isn't as long as some women, but it still took a tole on my body. I am afraid of going into labor and not being able to handle it and ending up with a c-section. In the end a healthy baby is all I want, but I would like to avoid interventions if possible and make the birth a little easier.
With that said, I am trying to think of ways to slowly and safely increase my activity and help with my stamina. What did you do to help get yourself back into "shape"? I have been walking a bit but that's it. I'm not sure what else to do.
Thanks for any tips or advice!!

Re: Getting into shape after bed rest
Are you allowed to be up and about now then? I am hoping that if I can get to that place I will probably spend time in my apartment's pool doing walking and gentle swimming, and generally trying to walk around more - just to get used to the changes in my body while I am on bedrest. Good luck!
