I asked the same thing....I asked her if she could measure the length of baby, they said they don't do that at this point, but by taking measurements of all parts of the baby, they somehow come up w/ how many oz the baby is....I don't remember what they heck my other kids were, just curious as to what everyone else had got.

It's a guess and can be significantly off. I had an impromptu u/s at 36 weeks with DS because my stomach started measuring behind, all was well, he had just dropped down into my pelvis. Anyway, they said he was measuring at the 15th percentile, and that was okay that they only worry if it's under 10th percentile. They told me he'd be ~6 pounds at birth. Well, turns out he was ~8 pounds at birth and 75th percentile!

They didn't tell me that  bummed.  I did get several measurements for EDD (femur length and a couple of skull measurements) which all seemed right on the money.  It would have been cool to know the weight, I'm guessing it will be on the small side as both DH and I were relatively small babies.

I will find this out in 17 days. Not that I'm counting either! I have Kaiser insurance and they told me I had to wait for a/s at 20 weeks. Maybe they will let me do it a little earlier??? If other ladies are getting their's done at 18ish weeks why can't i?? Ok, done bitching. Heh.

11.5 oz at 17w 6d! Measuring in the 95th percentile! The measurements can be pretty inaccurate though. With my first son, they did an ultrasound at 39 weeks and predicted that he was already 9+ pounds. I was induced 5 days later and he was 7.5 pounds

I am one of the lucky ones that will be waiting until 22 weeks. bummer!! However at 19 weeks Doctor will take a little sneak peak to see if we can determine the gender!!

Just like these 2 PP, I will let you know in 1 month.... YES, I said 1 MONTH!! My doctor is making me wait forever!!! I'm 18wks 5days and was 18wks 2 days at my appointment, yet he is making me wait another freakin' month! And I don't just mean like next month, I mean exactly a month from today . I dunno if i can take it... I just want to know what I'm having and that he/she is healthy so my family will stop bugging me and I can start shopping! LOL

I had my a/s on Friday at 18 weeks 4 days and I wasn't told the weight so I don't know.  I do know they said he was measuring a week ahead, so his due date would change to 11-4 but they are keeping the original due date from the first ultrasound because it is probably more accurate, and it's all an estimation anyway.

At 19wk 5d they said he was 15oz! He was measuring at about 21wk so they may change the due date otherwise I'm having a very big boy!

@Kristil2014 I wasn't told by the u/s tech. My MFM doc told me when he came in to do his u/s after the techs and give me a review of their findings. Your OB should get a radiologists report which would probably include the weight!

13oz at 20w1d. The tech said baby was measuring 3 days ahead though.

18w1d baby girl is 9 oz baby boy is 8oz right about 50th percentile

Just done today at 19weeks 1 day He was 11oz 5 days ahead and in the 70 percentile
