I have fallen off the diet wagon so hard that I actually hid ice cream in another box in the freezer so DH wouldn't find it and eat it on me.

I made DH change DD into her sleep diaper last night. He has only changed her a few times ever and it was when she was a newborn and we used disposables. It was a BG AIO so nothing real complicated. I had to help him but I made him do it. I feel like an ass for babying him like that but seriously, change a diaper.

I totally milked high chair time because I was so tired yesterday.  I was like "Are you sure you're all done?  Would you like some cantaloupe?"

My husband loves these so much.  I always think they're gross, but then I'll have some when he makes them and they always taste much better than I expect.  I saw a recipe for homemade ones once.  I think they were made with wonton wrappers.  I keep wanting to try that.

A woke me up today, but I was too exhausted to get up so I told her to go back to sleep... And it worked! But don't be jealous because then I was wide awake and wasn't able to fall back asleep. And she's still just dozing peacefully. (:|

This has been one of the best things about DS developing language!  Sometimes he wakes up and cries during naps and I never used to know if he was ready to get up or if he would fall back asleep.  Now I go to his door and ask him if he's ready to get up.  He ignores me if he wants to keep sleeping, but he'll say yes if he's ready to get up.  It's awesome.

1) Just because I sit near the fax/copy/scanner doesn't mean I know everything about it or have time to constantly help you when you come over, stare at it like you are stupid and then cause a paper jam. Figure it out yourself!

2) Why do people only bring glazed donuts to work to share? Can't a girl get a chocolate once in a while?

3) Why do I have to log in twice to get into TB??

 

Okay these weren't confessions really but... I feel better now...

I really just love the sauce. I have never been able to find/make pizza sauce that has just the right amount of spicyness. It always turns out bland.

Lately, he's been doing it for almost all naps.  But only for a couple minutes.  Then he will fall asleep for another hour + afterwards.  I used to try to go in there as soon as I heard him crying.  He would be so grumpy and I thought I was doing the right thing by comforting him right away.  Now I realize he was grumpy because he was still exhausted and still needed to sleep.  He wakes up in a much better mood now after the second half of his nap.

DH is the same way.  Even if I don't really clean but just spray the counter tops with a little bleach it makes him feel like he's coming home to a clean house, lol.  If it doesn't smell like bleach, it hasn't been cleaned (to him).

My husband made a comment two nights ago about cloth diapers taking up so much of my time.

I had to stop myself from making a rude comment asking how much time he spends reading useless stuff on Reddit.  I'm trying to be nice about this, but he can't see it as something I actually enjoy doing.

We bought more diapers. SO got the TT preorder this week in both a diaper and a Tshirt. It's pretty epic. I also think I figured out Cade's rash issues. So, I'm selling my BG's to make room for more TT's. I also forgot how many GC's I'm in. Whoops!

I ate 3 breakfasts this am.  Woke up wide awake at 5:40, wondering why the hell am I up? Well I was hungry. Ate half a bagel with OJ.  Got up at 7:45, had oatmeal and OJ.  At 9:00 am got breakfast from McD's with COKE.

So bad. I have literally never drank coke with my breakfasts before but at that point I was sick of OJ.

My FFFC: I get coke with my breakfast from McD's every time.  Its usually my Friday treat. Bacon, egg and cheese biscuit, yum!

Mh and I were both home today, but we still had the nanny come. We have to pay her either way, might as well get some help. She helps with chores and stuff too. That way mh got to spend the day doing stuff around the house and studying.

I'm jealous of all of you who are feeding your LO Cheerios. I can't find normal Cheerios here. They have these gross multi-grain Cheerios, which I found out the hard way are laced with sugar. DS spent a whole day snacking on them and got really wired, before I tasted one and realized what was happening.

I keep meaning to mention that I don't think there's anything pretentious about having a nanny. My sister has a nanny for her twins because it's cheaper than sending them to daycare. I would have a nanny in a heartbeat if I could do it cheaper than daycare. And as someone who used to work in childcare I'm very very happy that you're of the opinion that your nanny should be paid even if it's not convenient to your schedule. Not everyone feels that way and that's not cool.

We considered a nanny when we were having our second.  It was still too expensive for the one we wanted.

We have a nanny who comes 2 afternoons a week and I don't care if people think it's pretentious. We don't have family nearby. And waitlists for daycare in our neighborhood are ridiculous. And DS would never take a bottle, so I didn't feel comfortable leaving him someplace all day until after he had at least weaned from daytime feedings. The nanny was able to accommodate our schedule, and I needed the help.

We finally got into a daycare where DS is happy, but we've kept the nanny on because it's good for my sanity, and she will also babysit so that DH and I can get the occasional evening out.

I think nannys might be more regulated here than in the US, because we do pay her for time not worked (whether it was because we are traveling or she needs to cancel for her own reasons) and she also qualifies for holiday pay on a prorated basis. We have a mutually agreed upon system for tracking all of it. And I'm fine with this, because when I worked as a tutor I would have students cancel on me and then it's not like I could hurry up and fill their time slot with another client. I had trouble making rent when that happened. Finally when I asked them to pay me in advance each month, they decided they didn't need me.

I think people working in the caring professions are generally underpaid, but they do important work. I'm not going to leave my child with just anyone. They deserve to have a modicum of financial security.

I'm glad I didn't even attempt for the TT preorder today. After having a discussion with mh about "artificial demand" I felt really stupid for wanting a diaper just because someone told me there was a "limited supply". I feel cheated by that kind of advertising/marketing whatever

I went for the preorder. I just wanted the diaper and shirt though. We have a lot of nerd diapers. However, when she says there's limited amounts she's usually telling the truth. This preorder sold out within 10-15 minutes.

Oh yeah. I believed she had limited quantities. But that whole "there's only 15 in the world" thing...irks me.

not in a major way, but I guess my confession is I judged this a tiny bit because I wouldn't feed my LO something w/o reading the box and tasting it first. 

on a lighter note, multigrain cheerios are delicious!

Half why I want to give birth ASAP is so J will stop asking me to do stuff for him for a few days. Just because I stay at home now doesn't mean I'm his personal assistant.

E put her socks on backwards (heel up) but I'm leaving them bc she's so proud of herself. They also don't match her outfit, and she might have gotten them out of her dirty clothes basket. Pick your battles, right?

Absolutely. That's why both my boys still have pjs on at 10am.

Went yard saleing this morning, and scored nb diaper covers and NIP snappis for $0.25 each! Two thirsties in EUC, and I also got a couple NIP kushies nb covers. I wouldn't normally buy the kushies, since they are vinyl, but for a quarter they are nice back up.
