Around here a lot of bars also serve (sometimes really tasty) food. People feeling weird about bringing baby into a liquor store got me thinking who would bring their baby into a bar to eat and who would find it odd

  • Before I vote I need to know what kind of "bar" we're talking?
Applebee's bar & grill type or bar with all high tops that also serves good food?
  • Loading the player...
  • It depends on the bar but if they have tables I would bring my kids there for lunch or dinner but would not stay late. I would never sit at the bar with them

  • I think there is a difference between bar and pub... Sounds like you're describing a pub .... Like a sports bar with TVs and good food. I'm ok with that... But a bar where you go to get drunk and dance the night away...... No.

  • It depends on the time of day. Late in the night, no. But when it's still a calm crowd for supper, I would and I have. One of my favorite restaraunts is also one of the most popular bars in town.

  • I said yes. BC in my small town, restaurants are limited and the local bar allows minors until 9:30 BC they also serve food all day. So yea, I'd take my baby to a bar and I have.

  • If they have a menu, TVs, etc I wouldn't have a problem with it (for lunch or early dinner). If the establishment is for serving alcohol only, no.

  • What other said. If they have menus, actual waitstaff that are properly attired, available highchairs...then yes of course.

Any cages for people dance in or no actual tables really....probably not.

Ha. I guess I was thinking more along the lines of no slutty girls in tube tops and hot pants. BUT that is a good point. I think I would take my boys to a hooters. I don't really consider hooters uniforms that bad...so I may have to amend my statement! ;)
