Re: Note to self

  • Omg I would be starving and your comment about chewing your arm just reminded me of the Walking Dead :)

Good luck and hoping for a smooth and uneventful surgery!

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

  • (((HUGS))) to you!!!!  I hope things go well for you today and that you get things straightened out with your donor issues.  You just keep hitting a wall and I want so badly to be able to do something about it!!!

  • Hope all went well with your surgery. Just have DH have your favorite food ready and waiting for when you are able to eat.
Why the heck did you sched an elective procedure so late? My husband whines if I make his blood work apt after 8am. He wants to roll out of bed and go so he doesn't have to think about not being able to eat.

Next time you schedule something like this you need to tell us first so we can talk some sense into you!!!!

Rest up and let us know how it all went.

  • @hooligans4 I had court this morning so I couldn't do it earlier.   You know.  Take kid to day camp, go to court, do billing, go have surgery.  LOL   I totally should have just put it on a day when I had nothing.  L-)

Anyway, done.  Easy peasy. I just feel groggy from being knocked out for 30-40 minutes. The worst part was that it took them 4x to get my IV properly placed.
Ouch! I hate that. Sending hugs, @JimBobCooter. Take it easy, now.

  • Yeah, I learned that lesson as well with a polyp removal in 2012... I was scheduled for 3:30 but they were running behind and I was still waiting at 5pm. Except I had nothing since midnight the night before!! I was so dehydrated tht a migraine started. I then started to vomit from the migraine... It was awful... I still think of the wonderful anesthesiologist who, finally gave me a magic potion in my IV.. Bless her heart! (The earlier guy would only give me a Tylenol suppository.... Yeah, thx for nothing)... Moral of the story: never take a late slot!!!

  • I'm replying a little late, but hope your surgery went well! I have had a few surgeries in my lifetime, so I feel your pain. I once went 16 hours with no food. TORTURE.
