Multiple Letdowns During Pumping -- How To?

I have noticed a lot of posts on here where mommies are getting multiple letdowns during a pumping session.  I tried this a couple times yesterday but I've still been unsuccessful. Can anyone offer some tips? Do I wait until the flow slows down? I have the Medela PISA. I'm supposed to press the letdown button again right? I've tried looking at a picture, but have not tried using his scent.

Re: Multiple Letdowns During Pumping -- How To?

  • I get 2-3 let-downs per 20 minutes. I Bump while I pump and that's all I need to relax. I particularly like reading the BMB's WTF Wednesdays, UO and FFFC posts because they make me laugh and I feel more relaxed.

  • Thanks for posting this. I needed help with this as well, and I needed the reminder to relax.
  • Is it possible that I am letting down again and just not feeling it?  I have a pretty active one, so I definitely feel it at the beginning of the session, just not after that.  I tried again with a onesie and pic still didn't feel anything but I got 4.5 oz this session and 5 during this morning's session.
