Happy Birthday! I totally missed this post - so belated T&P's here - actually wondering how it went? I have to go in for the same type of second ultrasound (though I don't know the sex) next week as they said the baby's kidneys were measuring slightly larger than normal (over 4, but under 5), so I totally understand your nervousness. I hope everything went well today!

Bump for update! Scan went well as far as I know. Baby girl was doing a headstand so the tech had a hell of a time getting the kidney and lower sacral shots she needed. We will find out about how the kidneys are measuring on Monday or Tuesday. We confirmed that she is definitely a girl. Our hospital doesn't print off the shots of the genitalia, though. I wonder if their policy has something to do with child porn or something? Anyway, she showed us the "three white lines" a few times, then later on she said "yep, definitely a girl." So that put my mind at ease for that portion of the scan. Thanks so much for all the T&Ps, you guys are great. Oh, and here's an adorable foot and profile of baby girl.

My son had enlarged kidneys from 20 weeks to birth. They kept monitoring through u/s every month. He ended up being fine once he was born. I'm sure she will be great, that usually resolves before they're here. Try not to worry

Bump for another update. Baby girl's kidneys are still measuring big.. so now another ultrasound in 4 more weeks.. OB offered to refer me to a high risk doctor but she also said she didnt think it was necessary. I juat wanna cry. I want her to be ok and I'm so sick of the waiting game. 4 more weeks..

My dr won't even take a look at my LO until she is 30 weeks along. According to him that's usually by when kidney issues are resolved. You still have several weeks til that point so I really hope your little girl's kidneys go back to normal. T&Ps for you and her!

I'm sorry...this sucks.  Did they say if they are still as far ahead or if the size difference is shrinking?  Did that make sense?

She said they're still "mildly prominent". Which makes her not concerned, since normally they will send measurements if the prominence is more extreme. Its not life threatening and I know that, but I just want her to be ok.

Ugh, all that waiting sounds so frustrating. At least the doc doesn't sound worried, more like she's just following protocol.

It seems like your doctor is not concerned, and it sounds like it's highly likely for the issue to resolve itself. I'm sure baby girl is fine and absolutely perfect. No point in telling you to not worry, but we are here to vent to when the wait gets too overwhelming. Thinking of you!
